Toppin agreed Sunday with the Pacers on a four-year, $60 million contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. After coming over in a trade from the Knicks last summer, Toppin proved to be a valuable contributor for Indiana as the club's top reserve big man. He appeared in all 82 games and averaged 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 21.1 minutes per contest. Indiana will bring back frontcourt starters Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner in 2024-25, so Toppin's role is unlikely to change dramatically despite receiving more of a long-term financial commitment.

The Pacers issued Toppin a qualifying offer Wednesday, making him a restricted free agent, Tony East of SI.com reports. Toppin set career highs across the board during his first season in Indiana, as he averaged 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 stocks in 21.1 minutes across 82 regular-season appearances. He also provided a spark off the bench during the postseason, scoring at least 10 points in six straight games at one point. During that stretch, Toppin averaged 15.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in 20.0 minutes per game.

Toppin posted 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block over 24 minutes in Thursday's 120-98 win over Milwaukee in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Toppin gave Indiana a much-needed lift off the bench, leading all Pacers in scoring while connecting on a team-high-tying trio of threes and ending two rebounds shy of a double-double in just under 25 minutes on the second unit. Toppin has been stellar off the bench this postseason but posted his best outing of the playoffs thus far in the series-clinching victory. Toppin concluded the first-round series by surpassing the double-digit scoring mark in four straight outings.

Toppin finished with 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and six rebounds over 17 minutes in Friday's 121-118 overtime win over Milwaukee in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Toppin provided a nice spark off Indiana's bench to help his squad take a series lead over Milwaukee, leading all bench players in scoring while ending as one of five Pacers with 15 or more points in the overtime contest. Toppin posted his highest point total of the postseason thus far, surpassing the double-digit mark for the first time in the series.

Toppin amassed nine points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), eight rebounds and one steal over 21 minutes during Tuesday's 125-108 victory over the Bucks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Although Toppin has largely been a non-factor for the Pacers recently, he provided solid support in the second unit during the Game 2 victory. Players like Toppin can hold a lot of value for fantasy players in DFS contests, as his inexpensive salary can help lineups stay below the salary cap after adding elite players. His near double-double is an encouraging sign that Toppin can match the value of his DFS salary moving forward.
