Filipowski (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game versus the Knicks. Filipowski sprained his right ankle in Thursday's loss to the Spurs and won't play for the first time since the regular-season opener. With the rookie sidelined, Brice Sensabaugh and Drew Eubanks are candidates for an uptick in playing time. Filipowski's next chance to feature will come Tuesday against the Spurs.

Filipowski has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Spurs due to a right ankle sprain, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports. He recorded four points (1-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds and one assist over 18 minutes before exiting. Filipowski went to the locker room during the third quarter and was later ruled out for the final 12 minutes of play. Expect Brice Sensabaugh and Drew Eubanks to pick up additional minutes down the stretch in Filipowski's absence.

Filipowski notched 14 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and a steal across 30 minutes in Thursday's 115-113 win over the Mavericks. Filipowski earned a start for this game after notching a career-high 18-point effort off the bench in a loss to the Suns on Tuesday, and he carried the momentum into this contest. This was his highest-scoring start of the season, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him remain in a starting role when the Jazz take on the Kings on Saturday due to the lack of depth Utah currently has in its frontcourt. Taylor Hendricks (leg) is out, while the status of both Lauri Markkanen (nose) and Walker Kessler (hip) is uncertain in a best-case scenario.

Filipowski is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Mavericks, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. Filipowski enters the lineup after scoring a career-high 18 points in the loss to the Suns on Tuesday. This will be the rookie's fourth start of the campaign, and he averaged 7.0 points with 5.3 rebounds per game in his previous three.

Filipowski produced 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 120-112 loss to Phoenix. Filipowski poured in a career-high 18 points, logging at least 23 minutes for the second straight game. It's been an up-and-down season for the rookie, his role seemingly changing on a nightly basis. Given what we have seen thus far from the Jazz, there is certainly a world in which they are eliminated from the postseason discussion sooner rather than earlier. Should this be the case, Filipowski's minutes could increase on a more consistent basis.
