  Hood-Schifino isn't on the 76ers' training camp roster. Hood-Schifino had his qualifying offer with the team declined July 4. He then joined the Las Vegas Summer League squad with the assumption he'd be on the training-camp roster or land in the G League with the Delaware Blue Coats. It appears he'll be taking the G League route, spending his time during the 2025-26 campaign trying to prove his worth to earn a call-up.

  Hood-Schifino (undisclosed) went scoreless (0-1 FG) across eight minutes in Tuesday's 74-58 Summer League win over the Wizards. Hood-Schifino was a late scratch from Saturday's starting lineup against the Hornets with no explanation provided. He returned to action Tuesday but struggled to make an impact, recording three turnovers and failing to score.

Hood-Schifino was expected to start Saturday's game but was a late scratch and replaced by Hunter Sallis. He was spotted in street clothes on the bench, though the team has not issued an official injury update. His next chance to play will be Tuesday against the Wizards.

  Hood-Schifino posted 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes in Monday's 89-78 Summer League loss to the Thunder. Hood-Schifino finished as the 76ers' second-leading scorer and was one of three Philadelphia players to reach double figures. The 22-year-old guard was traded from the Lakers to the Jazz and subsequently waived before signing a two-way contract with Philadelphia in March of the 2024-25 campaign. However, he wasn't extended a qualifying offer and is now an unrestricted free agent heading into 2025-26.

  Hood-Schifino (illness) is available for Saturday's game versus Miami but may not see the floor, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. Head coach Nick Nurse said Hood-Schifino will be available if he calls his name, but he will proceed with caution given his eligibility concerns -- he's on a two-way contract with the 76ers and the team hasn't decided which games he'll see action in.
