The Mavericks announced Thursday that an MRI revealed Doncic sustained a right wrist sprain during Tuesday's game versus the Pelicans and he will be re-evaluated in one week. Doncic began feeling pain in his wrist during the first quarter of Tuesday's game, per Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com. While the superstar guard was able to finish the contest and log 30 minutes of action, it appears the injury is more serious than initially expected. With Doncic sidelined for at least a week, Jaden Hardy, Quentin Grimes and Spencer Dinwiddie are all candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence.

Doncic logged 26 points (10-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 132-91 victory over the Pelicans. Doncic returned from a one-game absence, dropping a game-high 26 points. With the Mavericks taking control of this one early, the coaching staff was able to put Doncic on ice down the stretch. His 30 minutes marked his second-lowest total in a game so far this season.

Doncic (knee) is listed as available for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans. Doncic will give it a go after missing Sunday's win over the Thunder due to a lingering right knee contusion. The superstar has averaged 27.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.6 steals across 38.0 minutes per game over his last five outings.

Doncic (knee) participated in Tuesday's morning shootaround, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. Doncic is currently listed as questionable to face the Pelicans on Tuesday, but his availability at the morning session is a good sign. He was unable to play Sunday against the Thunder after admitting that he's been playing through a lingering knee issue. If he doesn't get the green light for Tuesday, Quentin Grimes could possibly draw another start.

Doncic (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans. Doncic admitted after Saturday's win over the shorthanded Spurs that he's been less than 100 percent over the last week, so it wasn't surprising to see him get the night off during Sunday's game against the Thunder, which the Mavericks surprisingly won. That was Doncic's first absence of the season, and if the MVP candidate remains sidelined Tuesday, Quentin Grimes would likely draw another start.
