Even with established veterans like Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis on the roster, it is Acuff that has operated as the focal point of the Kings' offense early on in the 2026-27 season.

The rebuilding Kings are wasting no time giving the rookie first-rounder the green light to fire away on offense in the early stages of the season. Acuff has taken at least 20 field-goal attempts in all four of his appearances, so it seems Sacramento is prioritizing the guard's development right away.

Acuff remained heavily involved offensively, attempting 23 shots while leading Sacramento with seven assists, but his efficiency was underwhelming. The volume is there, as Acuff has attempted at least 23 shots in every game so far this season, but he's making just 32.9 percent of his attempts overall and 14.8 percent of his threes. The rookie should keep getting opportunities to develop as a primary ball-handler, though his fantasy production could fluctuate until his shooting efficiency improves.
