Barrett was automatic from the field Saturday, and he came in clutch alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as Canada began their Olympic campaign with a win. The 24-year-old led Canada in scoring, and he will likely serve as one of the squad's top options offensively as Gilgeous-Alexander has already seen defenses swarm him despite a 21-point performance of his own Saturday. Furthermore, Barrett is getting a heavy dose of minutes as well as the opportunity to display his talents, coming in behind only Giannis Antetokounmpo in playing time in the match.

Barrett will sit out due to a sore left knee, though the injury isn't expected to be anything that affects his offseason preparation. In 32 appearances with the Raptors after coming over from the Knicks in a Dec. 30 trade, Barrett averaged 21.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 three-pointers in 33.5 minutes per game.
