The Bulls signed Liddell to a two-way deal Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. The Illinois native will latch on with Chicago for the 2024-25 season, though he will likely spend the majority of his time with the Windy City Bulls of the G League. The 23-year-old played for New Orleans last season, during which he averaged 0.5 points and 0.6 rebounds across only 2.9 minutes per game in just eight regular-season appearances.

The Suns waived Liddell in August, but the former Ohio State standout will have a shot at competing for a roster spot with a Bulls organization that might be headed for a rebuild sooner than later. Liddell made eight appearances for the Pelicans in the 2023-24 regular season, but he was limited to just 2.9 minutes per game, as he spent most of his time with the Birmingham Squadron in the G League.

The Suns waived Liddell on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Liddell was traded twice this summer. First, the Hawks acquired him from the Pelicans in the return package for Dejounte Murray. Then, Liddell was traded to Phoenix in exchange for David Roddy. Now, Liddell finds himself as a free agent a month before training camp and will likely have to settle for a G League opportunity. The 2022 second-round pick has made just eight NBA appearances, which all came with New Orleans last season.

The Hawks are trading Liddell to the Suns in exchange for David Roddy on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. This is the second time Liddell has gotten traded in less than a month, as he was traded from New Orleans to Atlanta on June 26 as part of the deal that sent Dejounte Murray to the Pelicans. Liddell will compete for a depth frontcourt option for the Suns, but his chances of earning a meaningful role are very slim.
