  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Starting Friday
    By RotoWire

Jaquez is in the starting lineup for Friday's matchup with the Celtics, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. With Tyler Herro (toe), Andrew Wiggins (back), Pelle Larsson (ankle) and Davion Mitchell (ankle) all unavailable Friday night, Jaquez will draw his first start of the season, and he should see a lot of playmaking opportunities. Per 36 minutes this year, Jaquez owns averages of 19.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists per contest.

  • Jaquez amassed 19 points (9-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes during Thursday's 106-95 win over the Nets. With Tyler Herro (toe) sidelined, Jaquez has seen his minutes in the mid-30s and has been a larger part of the offense. If Herro can't give it a go Friday in Boston, Jaquez should again see a bump in minutes and usage, which would put him on the radar as a potential target in daily fantasy leagues.

  • Jaquez produced 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and three steals over 30 minutes during Monday's 106-96 loss to the Raptors. Jaquez's fantasy value has taken a hit while the Heat have gotten healthier, though his minutes have remained fairly consistent. Over his last seven appearances, the versatile forward has averaged 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 26.0 minutes per game.

  • Jaquez chipped in 27 points (9-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 8-12 FT), six rebounds and six assists across 35 minutes during Saturday's 127-111 loss to the Kings. With Tyler Herro (toe), Davion Mitchell (groin) and Pelle Larsson (hip) sidelined, Jaquez logged a season-high-tying 35 minutes off the bench. The third-year forward delivered an extremely efficient performance and led the Heat in scoring, while just two of the team's starters finished in double figures in the loss. Jaquez has recorded 20-plus minutes in four straight games, averaging 14.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals across 27.8 minutes per game during that span.

  • Jaquez (groin) is available for Monday's game against the Clippers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Jaquez is shedding a questionable designation with a groin injury, returning from a one-game absence. The forward has averaged 16.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 29.7 minutes per contest over 19 games this season, but a healthy Heat roster likely means his playing time is due to decline a bit going forward.
