James finished with 36 points (15-28 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 38 minutes during Saturday's 103-88 loss to the Clippers. James worked tirelessly to keep the Lakers in this game, but losing Luka Doncic (leg) at halftime was the final nail in the coffin. The team was already struggling without Austin Reaves (calf), Deandre Ayton (elbow) and Rui Hachimura (groin), and even a generational talent like James couldn't turn the game around. Doncic's injury doesn't appear to be serious, but the Lakers can take solace in the fact that James is more than capable of picking up the slack despite his age.

James registered 28 points (8-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 12-13 FT), seven rebounds, 10 assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Thursday's 143-135 win over the Jazz. Although James tweaked his knee and was knocked in the jaw during the second quarter, he kept playing and finished with his third double-double of the season. Since his 14-game absence to begin the season, James has taken a seat for at least one game during back-to-back sets and logged only 10 appearances, but the Lakers have no back-to-back scenarios until 2026. James should continue his regular contributions for the remainder of the year.

James totaled 26 points (8-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-14 FT), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals over 36 minutes during Sunday's 116-114 victory over the Suns. James has shown signs of life lately after a slow start to the 2025-26 campaign. He averaged 14.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists in his first six appearances of the year after putting a right sciatica injury behind him, but he's responded by putting up 20-plus points in two of his last three games, while averaging 8.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks over this brief stretch.

James generated 19 points (7-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 15 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks across 36 minutes of Wednesday's 132-119 loss to San Antonio. Since being cleared for action in mid-November, James has taken a back seat to Luka Doncic and, occasionally, Austin Reaves from a scoring standpoint. Still, the 40-year-old has been productive elsewhere, and he thrived in the peripheral categories against the Spurs. He more than doubled his previous season high of seven rebounds, and he surpassed his previous season total of two blocks Wednesday night.

James registered 29 points (12-17 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Sunday's 112-108 win over the 76ers. James put together his best scoring performance of the young campaign, shooting with efficiency everywhere on the court in Sunday's victory. His four made treys were also a season high and a welcome sight after struggling to a 1-for-9 clip from deep over his last two matchups.
