Haslem announced Friday via his personal Instagram acocunt that he has retired from professional basketball. Haslem played all 20 years of his career in Miami after going undrafted out of Florida in 2002. Despite seeing limited playing time in the latter stages of his career, he will retire as the Heat's all-time leading rebounder (5,791). Haslem is a three-time NBA champion and was the league's oldest player in 2022-23 at 42 years old.

Haslem (illness) is available for Monday's Game 4 versus New York, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Haslem was ruled out for Game 3 due to an illness, but as expected, he's cleared the aliment and will suit up for Game 4. The veteran big man has played just two minutes across the team's first eight postseason matchups, so even though he's available, he likely won't be part of the Heat's rotation Monday.

Haslem missed Game 3 due to an illness, but he'll likely be able to suit up Monday. Haslem won't play in Saturday's Game 3 versus the Knicks due to a stomach illness. Haslem has logged just two minutes in the playoffs, so his absence won't affect Miami's rotation. The veteran big man's next chance to suit up is Monday's Game 4.

Haslem notched 24 points (9-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and one block over 25 minutes during Sunday's 123-110 win over the Magic. After being honored in a pregame ceremony for what was the final regular-season game of his NBA career, Haslem entered the rotation for a Heat squad that was resting Jimmy Butler and limiting the minutes of most other key players. The 42-year-old wasn't shy about firing away early and often Sunday and ended up finishing with his best scoring total since he posted 28 points in a Nov. 14, 2009 game. The appearance was Haslem's first since Feb. 2 and just his seventh overall of the season.
