  • Bol Bol C | PHO

Suns' Bol Bol: Goes 1-of-6 from field in loss

Bol finished with two points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3PT), eight rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes during Friday's preseason loss to the Pistons.

Bol struggled from the field in the loss, doing very little to convince the coaching staff that he should be a regular piece in the rotation. Outside of a few very brief flashes, Bol has never been a sustainable asset, be it in reality or fantasy. Barring a sudden change in playing time expectations, Bol should not be considered in drafts outside of very deep formats.

  • Kings' Orlando Robinson: Out once again

Robinson (knee) didn't play in Friday's 109-106 preseason loss to the Warriors.

Robinson is dealing with a left knee injury and has yet to suit up for the Kings in the preseason. He has three games left before the start of the regular season against the Timberwolves on Oct. 24. His next chance to feature will come against the Trail Blazers on Sunday.

  • Alex Sarr C | WAS

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Shifts to center Friday

Sarr amassed seven points (2-5 FG, 2-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one block in 21 minutes during Friday's 113-95 preseason win over Toronto.

Sarr shifted to center with Jonas Valanciunas moving back to the bench. Despite having the height to fill the center role, Sarr is yet to fully develop physically, meaning the power forward spot is likely his preferred position. There is no indication this was anything other than a preseason experiment, meaning Sarr should begin the regular season at the four.

  • Raptors' Bruno Fernando: Strong off bench Friday

Fernando compiled six points (2-9 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block in 17 minutes during Friday's 113-95 loss to Washington.

Fernando was waived by the Hawks in July, only to be offered a lifeline in the form of a non-guaranteed, one-year contract by the Raptors. Despite shooting the ball poorly in the loss, Fernando racked up five defensive stats, something the coaching staff was likely looking for. Bruno is no certainty to make the final roster, but performances like this should at least keep him in the discussion.

  • Raptors' Chris Boucher: Drops 22 points in preseason loss

Boucher tallied 22 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and seven rebounds in 18 minutes during Friday's preseason loss to the Wizards.

Boucher turned back the clock in the loss, scoring a team-high 22 points. Following periods of fantasy relevance, Boucher has fallen off a cliff in recent seasons, struggling to play a consistent role for the Raptors. Although this was a trip down memory lane, it does not mean managers should lean into the nostalgia come draft day.

  • 76ers' Andre Drummond: Double-doubles vs. Minnesota

Drummond posted 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 FT), 15 rebounds, an assist and two steals across 24 minutes in Friday's 121-111 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

Drummond got another start at center with Joel Embiid (rest) out, and the veteran big man continues to prove he's capable of producing regardless of whether he starts or plays off the bench. Drummond will be Embiid's primary backup once the regular season starts, but his ability to rack up stats in limited minutes might translate to him being rostered across several formats, particularly in points-based leagues.

  • Naz Reid C | MIN

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Solid all-around effort Friday

Reid finished with 19 points (7-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists, a steal and two blocks across 23 minutes in Friday's 121-111 preseason win over the 76ers.

Reid got the start at center since Rudy Gobert (undisclosed) didn't feature, and he made the most of the opportunity while making his presence felt on both ends of the court. Gobert is penciled in as the starting center, but Reid should see plenty of minutes off the bench, which should make him valuable across the majority of fantasy formats. After all, he won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2023-24, when the 24-year-old averaged 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals across 24.2 minutes across 81 regular-season games.

  • Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA

Suns' Jusuf Nurkic: Out Friday, remains day-to-day

Nurkic (finger) is viewed as day-to-day, Amanda Pflugrad of 3TV Phoenix reports.

Nurkic is reportedly doing well in his recovery, but the plan is for the team to continue monitoring him going forward. The big man has yet to suit up for either of the Suns' first two preseason contests due to the injury. When healthy, he is slated to anchor the Suns' frontcourt this season.

  • Warriors' Kevon Looney: Reserve role Friday

Looney will come off the bench in Friday's exhibiton contest versus the Kings, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Trayce Jackson-Davis and Looney have started at center in each of the Warriors first two preseason games, but Kyle Anderson will get the nod Friday. Golden State continues to play around with its lineup as it looks to figure out its starters for the regular season. Looney will continue competing for a bigger role in the rotation as the preseason carries on.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Won't play vs. 76ers

Gobert (undisclosed) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the 76ers.

Gobert was initially listed as a game-time call Friday, but he won't be suiting up. This means the Timberwolves will go with Naz Reid at center and Jalen McDaniels at power forward in a very small lineup. Gobert's next chance to play will be Sunday against the Knicks.
