  • Naz Reid C | MIN

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Back to bench

Reid isn't starting Friday's game against the Hawks.

Reid will retreat to a bench role due to the return of Karl-Anthony Towns to the starting lineup. Reid should continue to play a key role within the Minnesota rotation, especially while Towns gets back into game shape.

  • Jalen Duren C | DET

Pistons' Jalen Duren: Out against Dallas

Duren (back) won't play against Dallas on Friday.

Listed as questionable heading into Friday with low back spasms, Duren ultimately wasn't able to gain clearance for the penultimate game of the regular season. With Duren sidelined Friday, James Wiseman will likely step in as the Pistons' starting center and could be in store for a 30-plus-minute role if he steers clear of foul trouble.

  • Jericho Sims C | MIL

Knicks' Jericho Sims: Draws start at center

Sims is starting Friday's game against the Nets, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.

Sims hasn't been a part of the Knicks' rotation of late, but he'll get an opportunity to show what he can do Friday. Mitchell Robinson and Precious Achiuwa should also factor into the mix at center.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Cleared to play against Spurs

Jokic (hip) is available to face the Spurs on Friday.

Jokic and Denver's other starters will shed their probable tags to suit up Friday. On Wednesday against Minnesota, Jokic produced 41 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Available to play Friday

Davis (head) is available for Friday's game against Memphis, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

This was the expectation with Davis carrying a probable tag prior to this update. LeBron James (ankle) also has the green light to suit up.

  • Hornets' Marques Bolden: Starting at center

Bolden is starting Friday's game against the Celtics, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.

Bolden will draw his first start of the 2023-24 regular season and should be in line for a sizeable workload due to the absences of Grant Williams (ankle) and Nick Richards (foot).

  • Pacers' Isaiah Jackson: Officially ruled out

Jackson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Cavaliers.

As expected, Jackson won't play due to a left hamstring strain. Jalen Smith should operate as the primary backup to Myles Turner. Jackson's last chance to suit up during the regular season will come Sunday versus Atlanta.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Gets green light

Embiid (knee/rest) is available for Friday's game against the Magic.

Embiid will suit up for the fifth time over Philadelphia's last six contests, with his only absence coming during the second half of a back-to-back set. The 76ers have won all four games that Embiid has appeared in since returning from his lengthy surgery-related absence, and the reigning MVP has averaged 30.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks in 30.3 minutes during that stretch.

  • Clint Capela C | HOU

Hawks' Clint Capela: Gets green light

Capela (rest) is available for Friday's game against the Timberwolves, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

The Hawks were considering holding Capela out of Friday's action, but the team ultimately decided he'll be available to suit up. It's unclear if he'll shoulder his usual workload with only a few games remaining in the regular season.

  • Pacers' Isaiah Jackson: Unlikely to play

Jackson (hamstring) remains questionable for Friday's game against Cleveland but is unlikely to play according to head coach Rick Carlisle, Tony East of SI.com reports.

Carlisle noted that Jackson may end up being officially active, but he doesn't think the center will ultimately see any action. The team should have official word closer to tipoff.
