  • Hornets' Nick Richards: Out Friday

Richards (foot) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Celtics.

Richards and Grant Williams (ankle) have both been downgraded to out, so the Hornets' frontcourt will be extremely shorthanded. Richards has one more chance to suit up this season -- Sunday in Cleveland.

  • Luke Kornet C | SA

Celtics' Luke Kornet: Gets starting nod

Kornet is in the starting five for Friday's game versus the Hornets, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.

Kornet will replace Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) in the starting lineup Friday. Kornet is averaging 10.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.4 blocks in 30.0 minutes across his last five starting appearances.

  • Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Officially ruled out

Vucevic has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Wizards.

As expected, Vucevic has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will join most of Chicago's usual veterans on the sidelines. Two-way players Adama Sanogo and Henri Drell are candidates for increased roles in Chicago's frontcourt, along with Torrey Craig, Javonte Green and Dalen Terry.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Officially ruled out

Sharpe (wrist) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Knicks, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Sharpe was downgraded from questionable to doubtful in the hours leading up to Friday's tipoff, so it isn't very surprising to see him ruled out. Trendon Watford could see additional playing time against the Knicks, while Sharpe's final chance to play during the regular season will be Sunday against Philadelphia.

  • Al Horford C | GS

Celtics' Al Horford: Won't play against Charlotte

Horford (toe) is out for Friday's game versus the Hornets, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.

Horford has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday due to a left toe sprain. With Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) also out, Xavier Tillman and Luke Kornet should receive increased playing time. Horford's next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Washington.

  • Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Ruled out for Friday

Porzingis (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Charlotte, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.

The Celtics are exercising caution in the second half of a back-to-back set, and Porzingis will have a chance to rest with the postseason looming. His final chance to return during the regular season will be Sunday against Washington, while Xavier Tillman, Luke Kornet and Neemias Queta could see increased run against Charlotte since Porzingis and Al Horford (toe) have both been ruled out.

  • Wizards' Richaun Holmes: Ruled out Friday

Holmes (toe) won't play in Friday's game versus the Bulls, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.

Holmes' absence streak will extend to eight games Friday while dealing with a left toe contusion. His final chance to suit up this season is Sunday's matchup with Boston.

  • John Collins PF | LAC

Jazz's John Collins: Remains out Friday

Collins (back) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Clippers, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Collins hasn't played since dropping a 30-point, 11-rebound double-double against the Rockets on March 29. He has only one more chance to suit up this season -- Sunday versus Golden State.

  • Jazz's Walker Kessler: Won't play Friday

Kessler (nose) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Clippers, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Kessler continues to deal with a nasal fracture and will be unavailable for a fifth consecutive matchup. His final chance to return during the regular season will be Sunday against Golden State.

  • JaVale McGee C | SAC

Kings' JaVale McGee: Not listed on injury report

McGee (illness) isn't listed on Sacramento's injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Suns.

McGee was sidelined for Thursday's loss to the Pelicans due to an illness but will suit up for the second half of Sacramento's back-to-back set. However, the veteran center isn't guaranteed playing time and hasn't played double-digit minutes since Jan. 29.
