Joel Embiid C | PHI
76ers' Joel Embiid: Iffy for Wednesday
Embiid (knee, ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Washington.
The 76ers are considering giving Embiid a maintenance day for left knee injury management, though the star big man is also dealing with right ankle soreness. If he needs to sit out Wednesday, Andre Drummond would make sense as a plug-and-play fantasy option while Adem Bona handles backup center duties.

Jakob Poeltl C | TOR
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play Wednesday
Poeltl (back) will not play Wednesday against the Hornets, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports.
Poeltl will miss his eighth game in a row Wednesday. The center is getting closer to a return, however, as he was cleared for contact work on Jan. 5. His next chance to play comes Friday against Boston.

Jarrett Allen C | CLE
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Probable for Tuesday
Allen (illness) is now probable for Tuesday's game against the Pacers.
Allen was previously listed as questionable after missing Sunday's game with this illness. He's trending in the right direction, however, and he's likely to give it a go if he continues to feel good during warmups.

Nicolas Claxton C | BKN
Nets' Nic Claxton: Will play Wednesday
Claxton (personal) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Magic, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports.
Claxton was not at practice Tuesday, but he's currently on the way back to Brooklyn. Claxton missed the past two games for the Nets, but he's expected to reclaim his starting spot from Day'Ron Sharpe on Wednesday.

Victor Wembanyama C | SA
Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Goes through shootaround
Wembanyama (knee) participated in Tuesday's morning shootaround, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Wembanyama is reportedly feeling good following the shootaround, but he remains questionable to face the Grizzlies in Memphis. McDonald reports that Wembanyama will warm up Tuesday, and that he's shaping up to be a game-time call. If he gets the green light to return from a two-game absence, he may face restrictions.

Joel Embiid C | PHI
76ers' Joel Embiid: Double-doubles in loss
Embiid accumulated 32 points (13-22 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block in 40 minutes during Monday's 125-124 overtime loss to the Nuggets.
Embiid continues to look more fluid on the court, and his workloads are trending up. As long as his knees keep responding well, he could be in line for a strong second half of the regular season. Over his last four games, he's averaging 28.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.0 blocks.

Mo Bamba C | UTA
Mo Bamba: Cut by Toronto
The Raptors waived Bamba on Tuesday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Bamba signed with the Raptors on Dec. 29 to a one-year contract, but the deal was set to become fully guaranteed if he had remained on the roster through Wednesday. Rather than keeping Bamba around at a prorated $1.86 million salary, the Raptors will instead part ways with the veteran center. With Jakob Poeltl (back) still facing an uncertain timeline to return to action, the Raptors could still elect to bring Bamba back on a 10-day deal in order to bolster their depth in the frontcourt. Bamba played just six total minutes over two appearances in four games after signing his first deal with Toronto.

Joan Beringer C | MIN
Timberwolves' Joan Beringer: Recalled to NBA
Minnesota recalled Beringer from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Monday.
Beringer will return to the parent team after making a couple of G League appearances, during which he averaged 13.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. The young center has seen little action at the NBA level, logging less than 10 minutes in each of his 12 games played this season, and that may continue to be the case in the future.
-
Karl-Anthony Towns C | NY
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Struggles in loss
Towns supplied six points (1-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound and one assist across 23 minutes during Monday's 121-90 loss to the Pistons.
Towns struggled to get anything going in Monday's blowout loss to the Pistons, posting his second-lowest scoring output of the season along with season lows in both rebounds and assists. Plus, the big man committed a season-high six turnovers. It was a night to forget for the 30-year-old center, who is coming off a strong month of December, when he averaged 22.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 threes across 31.8 minutes per contest in 12 games.

PJ Hall C | CHA
Hornets' PJ Hall: Fares well off bench
Hall logged 13 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 19 minutes during Monday's 124-97 victory over Oklahoma City.
Moussa Diabate (wrist) was back in action for Charlotte and had a strong showing, but Hall certainly made a strong impression off the bench once again. Recently signed to a two-way contract, Hall has been getting an extended look with Ryan Kalkbrenner sidelined by an elbow injury, and the former has been a solid streaming option in deeper formats.
