  • Hornets' Nick Richards: Returns to practice

The Hornets announced Thursday that Richards (ribs) has returned to team and group activities but doesn't have a specific timetable for a return, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Despite returning to practice, Richards is set to miss his 10th straight contest Thursday due to a right first rib cartilage fracture. However, it appears that Richards is gearing up for a return to action.

  • Hornets' Mark Williams: Returns to practice

The Hornets announced Thursday that Williams has returned to team and group activities but remains without a timetable for a return, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Williams has yet to suit up this season while dealing with a left foot strain and will remain sidelined for Thursday's game versus the Pistons. However, it appears that Williams is gearing up for a return to action.

  • Magic's Wendell Carter: Iffy for Thursday

Carter (foot) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Lakers.

Carter is in danger of missing his 10th straight contest Thursday due to left foot plantar fasciitis. If the 25-year-old center is upgraded to available, it wouldn't be surprising for him to operate on a minutes restriction.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Returns to practice

Sabonis (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.

Sabonis has missed Sacramento's previous two contests due to lower back tightness. However, the star big man's return to practice is a good sign of his availability for Friday's game versus the Clippers.

  • Trail Blazers' Robert Williams: Grabs eight boards in loss

Williams put up four points (2-4 FG), eight rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's 109-99 loss to the Thunder.

Williams played in just his fifth game of the season Wednesday night and did not contribute much offensively, but he still managed to snag eight rebounds, his third in which he's gotten that many. As Williams continues to transition to game speed after missing the first nine games of the season, expect him to be more involved moving forward.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Absent from practice

Jokic (personal) wasn't present at Thursday's practice, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.

Jokic has missed Denver's last three contests due to personal reasons. The superstar center's absence from practice is a bad sign of his availability for Friday's matchup with Dallas.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Records season-high 31 points

Sengun had 31 points (12-19 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 130-113 victory over the Pacers.

Sengun's efficient shooting helped him post a season-high 31 points Wednesday. The 22-year-old center has now tallied 12 double-doubles in 16 appearances in 2024-25. Across his last 10 outings, Sengun is averaging 20.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.7 blocks in 30.1 minutes.

  • Spurs' Zach Collins: Set to play Thursday

Collins (knee) is available for Thursday's game versus the Jazz, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.

Collins has been upgraded from questionable to available Thursday despite dealing with left knee tendinitis. With Victor Wembanyama (knee) out, Collins should draw a third straight start against Utah.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Progressing in recovery

Sharpe (hamstring) has begun 1-on-1 workouts with coaches and is expected to be integrated into team activities in the next 7-to-10 days, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Sharpe has yet to play this season due to a left hamstring strain. However, Sharpe appears to be progressing well in his recovery and could return to action at the start of December if he doesn't suffer any setbacks.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Questionable for Friday

Claxton (back) returned to practice Thursday and is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the 76ers, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

Claxton has missed Brooklyn's last three contests due to a lower back strain but could return to action Friday. If the 25-year-old center is able to suit up against Philadelphia, he will likely reclaim his starting spot from Ben Simmons.
