  • Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Sniffs double-double

Vucevic posted 28 points (11-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists and a block across 34 minutes in Saturday's 112-99 loss to the Hornets.

Vucevic was the Bulls' best player by a wide margin in this loss, ending just two assists away from a double-double. Vucevic should be one of the Bulls' most reliable offensive weapons for the time being due to the absences of Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Coby White (calf). However, Vucevic has scored 20 or more points in only two of his last six contests.

  • Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Posts impressive double-double

Towns delivered 23 points (6-16 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 11-12 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes in Saturday's 130-119 loss to the 76ers.

Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks with a 31-point performance, but Towns posted an impressive stat line en route to his eighth double-double across 13 appearances since the beginning of December. The star big man has also reached the 20-point mark in four of his last six contests.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Won't return Saturday

Sengun (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Tim MacMahom of ESPN reports.

Sengun left early in the first quarter of Saturday's game due to a right ankle sprain, which medical staff deemed too severe for the fifth-year center to return. Clint Capela will see a heavy dose of minutes off the bench the rest of the way due to the absences of Sengun and Steven Adams (ankle). Sengun's injury puts him in jeopardy of missing Monday's game against the Suns.

  • Naz Reid C | MIN

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Big game from second unit

Reid finished with 29 points (10-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 25 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 125-115 victory over the Heat.

The rest of the Minnesota second unit managed only 11 points combined, but they didn't need to do much with Reid carrying the load. It was the 26-year-old center's second-best scoring effort of the season after a 33-point eruption against the Bulls on Monday, and Reid has delivered double-digit points in nine of the last 11 games, averaging 16.6 points, 6.6 boards, 2.6 threes, 2.5 assists and 1.5 combined blocks and steals in 28.3 minutes per contest during that span.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Double-double in Saturday's win

Gobert produced 13 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 32 minutes during Saturday's 125-115 win over the Heat.

It was Gobert's 14th double-double of the season, and the 10th time in the last 11 games that the veteran center has pulled down double-digit boards. Over that stretch, he's averaged 11.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Questionable to return Saturday

Sengun is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Mavericks due to a right ankle injury, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Sengun went to the locker room at the 10:56 mark in the first quarter after landing awkwardly on his ankle. With Steven Adams (ankle) not available, Clint Capela should see the majority of the minutes at center for as long as Sengun is out of the game, and Jeff Green and Dorian Finney-Smith could also see an uptick in minutes off the bench.

  • Ivica Zubac C | IND

Clippers' Ivica Zubac: Coming off bench in return

Zubac will come off the bench against the Celtics on Saturday, Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com reports.

Zubac was cleared to return from a five-game absence due to a Grade 2 ankle sprain, well ahead of schedule given the nature of his injury. He won't be rushed back to a full workload and will operate on a minutes restriction off the bench, so Brook Lopez will likely remain in the starting lineup and Yanic Konan Niederhauser should also see some minutes in the rotation.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Goes to locker room early

Sengun (ankle) went to the locker room early in the first quarter of Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports.

Sengun was seen clutching at his right ankle after falling awkwardly, and he has been taken to the locker room to be evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return to Saturday's game. Clint Capela entered the game for Sengun at the 10:56 mark of the first quarter.

  • Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Starting vs. Houston

Gafford is in the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Rockets on Saturday, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.

Gafford will start for the third time in four games Saturday, replacing Ryan Nembhard in the starting lineup to join Cooper Flagg and Anthony Davis in the frontcourt. Gafford has averaged 12.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals over 20.0 minutes per game over his last three outings.

  • Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Not starting vs. Philadelphia

Hukporti won't start against the 76ers on Saturday.

With Karl-Anthony Towns (illness) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) both available and starting, Hukporti will slide to the second unit. The second-year center has averaged 1.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game across 17 appearances off the bench this season.
