  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Will play vs. Detroit

Allen (rest) will play and start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Pistons.

Allen will return to the floor Tuesday after sitting out Sunday's preseason loss to the Celtics for rest purposes. This will be the first time the veteran center will play during this preseason.

  • Ibou Badji C | CHA

Ibou Badji: Let go by Charlotte

The Hornets waived Badji (toe) on Tuesday.

Badji signed a training camp contract with Charlotte in late September and is now likely to join the club's G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, for the 2025-26 campaign. The 23-year-old center appeared in 50 G League outings with the Wisconsin Herd last season, during which he averaged 6.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.5 blocks across 22.4 minutes per game.

  • Kings' Maxime Raynaud: Practicing Tuesday

Raynaud (illness) practiced Tuesday, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Raynaud is feeling better after missing Monday's practice. The rookie second-rounder has Drew Eubanks and Dario Saric ahead of him on the depth chart at center, meaning he could be hard-pressed to crack the Opening Night rotation.

  • Suns' Mark Williams: Progresses to light scrimmaging

Williams (undisclosed) progressed to doing some light scrimmages Tuesday, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Williams was never expected to play during the preseason, with the team targeting the regular-season opener against the Kings on October 22 for his return. Phoenix is treading lightly with Williams due to his injury history.

  • Jaxson Hayes C | LAL

    Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Out Tuesday

Hayes (rest) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Suns, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

Hayes, Gabe Vincent, Rui Hachimura and Jarred Vanderbilt will all be in street clothes Tuesday, but Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Deandre Ayton are expected to be available for the first half of the Lakers' preseason back-to-back set. Hayes is slated to be the top backup center behind Ayton on Opening Night.

  • Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Set for bump in minutes

The Mavericks plan to increase Davis' minutes in Wednesday's preseason game against the Lakers, Kevin Gray Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.

Davis played 25 minutes in Monday's preseason win over the Jazz, so perhaps he'll log somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 minutes Wednesday. The superstar big man should be all systems go for the Oct. 22 regular-season opener against the Spurs.

  • Bam Adebayo PF | MIA

Heat's Bam Adebayo: Nursing knee contusion

Adebayo is dealing with a right knee contusion after leaving Monday's preseason overtime loss to the Hawks early, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

The star big man didn't need an MRI on Tuesday, but the team will likely still proceed with caution. Adebayo has a chance to suit up for Friday's preseason finale against Memphis, but his main goal is to be as close to 100 percent as possible ahead of Opening Night in Orlando on Oct. 22.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Could play Friday

76ers coach Nick Nurse said Tuesday that Embiid (knee) has a chance to play in Friday's final preseason game against the Timberwolves, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Nurse said there are still some thresholds Embiid needs to get past in order to get on the floor, but he's trending in the right direction. Embiid was a full participant at Sunday's scrimmage, and by most accounts, he had a really strong showing. It's looking increasingly likely that Embiid will be ready by Opening Night.

  • Timberwolves' Joan Beringer: Double-doubles in win

Beringer logged 10 points (5-8 FG), 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes of Monday's 134-74 preseason win over the Guangzhou Loong-Lions.

Beringer drew the start Monday with the Timberwolves sitting out the bulk of their rotation. The No. 17 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Beringer looked solid at the Summer League, and that momentum has carried over into the preseason. Minnesota's frontcourt is loaded, however, so minutes won't be easy to come by in his rookie season.

  • Luke Kornet C | SA

Spurs' Luke Kornet: Scores 16 off bench

Kornet produced 16 points (6-6 FG, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 22 minutes of Monday's 124-108 preseason win over Indiana.

Kornet has been an obvious standout for the Spurs throughout the preseason, and at times, he has shown that he can be utilized alongside Victor Wembanyama. Through three exhibitions, Kornet is averaging 10.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 blocks in 18.6 minutes per contest.
