Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Available to return Tuesday

Reid (hamstring) is available to return in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Warriors on Tuesday, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Reid sustained an apparent left hamstring injury during the second quarter and exited to the locker room. However, the big man went through his halftime warmup and should be able to shoulder his usual workload the rest of the way.

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Exits with hamstring injury

Reid exited Tuesday's game against the Warriors with an apparent hamstring injury, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Reid left the game in the latter stages of the second quarter, and it's uncertain whether he'll be able to return. The big man was grabbing at his left hamstring when heading toward the bench in noticeable pain. If he's unable to return, then the Timberwolves would lose a valuable member of their frontcourt.

  • Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Expected to suit up Wednesday

Porzingis (illness) is probable for Wednesday's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Knicks.

Porzingis played 13 minutes in the first half of Monday's overtime loss in Game 1, though he didn't return after halftime due to a non-COVID illness. However, the star big man will likely suit up as the Celtics attempt to even the series at 1-1 in Boston. Porzingis didn't miss a game during the club's 4-1 first-round series win over the Magic, during which he averaged 12.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.0 assists and 0.8 blocks across 27.4 minutes per game.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Struggles in win

Robinson posted three points (3-10 FT) and seven rebounds across 21 minutes during Monday's 108-105 overtime win over the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Robinson failed to make an impact offensively in Game 1, scoring all three of his points at the free-throw line. The veteran big man did record the third-highest rebound total on the squad behind Karl-Anthony Towns (13) and Josh Hart (11), but he didn't contribute much during this series-opening win on the road.

  • Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Nearly double-doubles

Hartenstein had 12 points (6-12 FG), nine rebounds, one assist and one block across 29 minutes during Monday's 121-119 loss to Denver in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren each had five fouls apiece, but the Thunder had a lot of success with their small-ball lineups Monday with Alex Caruso providing a major spark off the bench. Through five postseason games, Hartenstein's production hasn't been as good as his stats in the regular season with 9.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.4 blocks and 1.0 steals in 24.6 minutes per game.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Serviceable effort in Game 1 loss

Holmgren provided 12 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, four blocks and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 121-119 loss to Denver in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Holmgren provided decent numbers on both ends of the floor but was certainly not at his best. Despite leading for most of the game, Oklahoma City came up just short thanks to a last-second three-pointer courtesy of Aaron Gordon. Having not played for more than a week may have factored into OKC's loss, but the team will look to bounce back Wednesday in Game 2.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Splendiferous performance Wednesday

Jokic amassed 42 points (15-29 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 10-13 FT), 22 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal across 42 minutes during Monday's 121-119 victory over the Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Jokic was unstoppable as the Nuggets stole homecourt advantage, continuing what has been another memorable postseason. The 22 rebounds matched his season high, while he also scored at least 40 points for the 10th time this season. It's hard to put into words just how impactful Jokic is on both ends of the floor. The two teams will meet again Wednesday, when Jokic and the Nuggets will be looking to ambush the Thunder once again.

  • Al Horford C | GS

Celtics' Al Horford: Quiet despite increased role

Horford closed Monday's 108-105 overtime loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with seven points (2-6 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and one block over 34 minutes.

Horford shifted into a larger role after Kristaps Porzingis was ruled out after just 13 minutes due to an illness. Now at the back end of his career, Horford was unable to take advantage of the promotion. While he can still be a meaningful contributor, the Celtics will be sweating on the health of Porzingis heading into Game 2.

  • Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Limited in Game 1 win

Towns accumulated 14 points (6-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes during Monday's 108-105 overtime victory over the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Towns picked up three early fouls, limiting him to just 31 minutes. Although he still managed to record a double-double, it was by no means a dominant performance. Foul issues have been an ongoing theme for Towns this season, something he will have to keep in check to ensure he can play a sizeable role in the series.

  • Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Doesn't return in Game 1

Porzingis (illness) didn't return during Monday's 108-105 overtime loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He supplied zero points (0-4 FG), four rebounds and one assist across 13 minutes.

Porzingis didn't start the third quarter after playing 13 minutes in the first half. The star big man was deemed questionable to return due to the non-COVID illness, and his status will be something to monitor ahead of Wednesday's Game 2 in Boston. If Porzingis is unable to suit up Wednesday, Al Horford and Luke Kornet are candidates for an uptick in playing time.
