Hornets' Taj Gibson: Ruled out Monday

Gibson (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Warriors.

Gibson has missed six of the club's last seven outings due to a coach's decision, and he has played only four minutes since the All-Star break. The veteran center's absence shouldn't cause any waves in the rotation.

  • Spurs' Charles Bassey: Remains out against Nets

Bassey (knee) is out for Tuesday's game against Brooklyn.

A left knee bone bruise will keep Bassey sidelined for a fifth straight game Tuesday. His next chance to return comes Friday against the Kings. In Bassey's continued absence against the Nets, Jeremy Sochan and Bismack Biyombo should continue splitting the center minutes.

  • John Collins PF | LAC

Jazz's John Collins: Unlikely to play Monday

Collins (back) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Pistons.

Collins made his return from a three-game absence Friday, posting 29 points (12-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes during a win over Minnesota, but he was back in street clothes Sunday and will likely miss the second half of Utah's back-to-back set as well. With Lauri Markkanen (back) already out, KJ Martin, Kyle Filipowski and Brice Sensabaugh are candidates for increased roles again, though Utah is expected to have Walker Kessler (rest) available Monday.

  • Jazz's Walker Kessler: Available for Monday

Kessler (rest) will be available for Monday's game against Detroit.

After resting Sunday against the Pelicans on the front end of a back-to-back set, Kessler is likely to be back in the starting lineup Monday. Kyle Filipowski started at center in Kessler's absence Sunday and played well, while Oscar Tshiebwe double-doubled off the bench in 20 minutes.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Available to play

Holmgren (ankle) is available for Monday's game against Houston.

After missing Sunday's game against the Spurs, Holmgren has the green light to suit up for the second leg of this back-to-back set. Through 17 games this season, Holmgren is averaging 15.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.7 blocks.

  • Kel'el Ware C | MIA

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Out Monday with knee sprain

Ware has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Wizards due to a right knee sprain.

Ware appeared to tweak his knee late in Sunday's 116-112 overtime loss to the Knicks, but he returned to action briefly thereafter while sporting a bit of a limp. He turned in one of his better performances of late with 12 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds and six blocks over 29 minutes, but the Heat will elect to hold him out for the second leg of a back-to-back set. With the rookie sidelined, the Heat will likely move Bam Adebayo back to center and could reopen a spot in the rotation for Kevin Love to serve as Adebayo's backup. Kyle Anderson and Haywood Highsmith will be the primary candidates to absorb minutes at power forward.

  • Kel'el Ware C | MIA

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Swats six shots

Ware registered 12 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds and six blocks over 29 minutes during Sunday's 116-112 overtime loss to New York.

Ware doubled his previous career-high mark with six blocks on the night. He's averaging nearly a double-double over his last 10 games, producing 9.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks in 27.8 minutes per contest.

  • Al Horford C | GS

Celtics' Al Horford: Productive against Denver

Horford registered 19 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes during Sunday's 110-103 victory over the Nuggets.

With Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Jrue Holiday (finger) sidelined, Horford fared well in the starting lineup alongside Luke Kornet. The Celtics have a back-to-back set coming up Wednesday against Portland and Thursday versus the 76ers, so fantasy managers can anticipate a maintenance day for one of those games.

  • Trail Blazers' Robert Williams: Out for Monday

Williams (knee) won't play Monday against the 76ers, Austin Krell of OnPattison.com reports.

Williams, who will miss his sixth game in a row Monday, remains without a timetable for a return. He should be considered questionable at best for Wednesday's game against Boston.

  • Taj Gibson PF | MEM

Hornets' Taj Gibson: Iffy for Monday

Gibson (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against the Warriors.

Gibson hasn't been in the rotation lately, so his status won't have a big impact on fantasy hoops.
