  • John Collins PF | LAC

Jazz's John Collins: Won't play Monday

Collins (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Collins will miss a second consecutive game due to lower-back soreness, and it will be the third time he's sat out of a game since the beginning of February. KJ Martin started in Saturday's win over the Rockets, and he'll likely remain in the starting five Monday due to Collins' absence. Collins will look to return Wednesday against Sacramento.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Weighing treatment options

Embiid (knee) and the 76ers are consulting doctors and considering alternative options for his injured knee, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Embiid, who has played just 19 games this season as he continues to manage a left knee injury, is now considering alternative options after current load-management efforts and injections have not led to the desired improvements. Since returning from the All-Star break, Embiid has totaled 15 or fewer points in back-to-back games for the first time in nearly four years and reportedly experienced swelling in his left knee following Saturday's loss to the Nets. Although he's listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Bulls, it wouldn't be shocking to see Embiid shut down for an extended period considering the repeated swelling in his knee and the proven ineffectiveness of current treatment methods.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Will play Sunday

Allen (finger) is available for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

X-rays came back negative for Allen's finger, which he injured during Friday's win over the Knicks, and the injury doesn't appear to be serious enough for him to miss any time. Allen has averaged 12.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks over 26.5 minutes per game since the beginning of February.

  • Wizards' Richaun Holmes: Starting Sunday vs. Orlando

Holmes is in the Wizards' starting lineup against the Magic on Sunday, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

Holmes has come off the bench for the Wizards' last two games, but he will return to the starting lineup Sunday due to the absence of Alex Sarr (ankle). Holmes has started in four games this season and averaged 12.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks over 28.8 minutes per contest.

  • Jakob Poeltl C | TOR

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play Sunday

Poeltl (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Suns, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.

Poeltl will miss his seventh straight game Sunday due to a right hip strain, which means Jonathan Mogbo and Orlando Robinson will continue to see extended playing time at the five. Poeltl's next chance to suit up will be Tuesday against the Celtics, though an official timeline for his return has yet to be announced by the Raptors.

  • Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Starts off hot Sunday

Porzingis logged 15 points (6-15 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal in 34 minutes during Sunday's 118-105 win over the Knicks.

Porzingis helped the Celtics build a 21-point halftime lead by scoring 13 of his 15 points over the first two quarters of Sunday's game, though he wasn't able to carry that hot shooting into the second half. Porzingis made his presence felt on the defensive end of the floor, dissuading Knicks players from driving to the basket while swatting three shots for the fourth time this season. Porzingis has averaged 18.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.3 blocks over 31.6 minutes per game since the beginning of February.

  • Alex Sarr C | WAS

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Sunday

Sarr (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Magic.

After missing eight straight games, Sarr returned to action during Washington's final game before the All-Star break. He also played Friday versus Milwaukee, posting 22 points, seven rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes. However, the rookie will be back in street clothes Sunday, the first half of a back-to-back set. Sarr will likely return to action Monday versus Brooklyn.

  • Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Out Sunday, as expected

Powell (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Warriors.

As expected, Powell has been downgraded from doubtful to out. He hasn't played since Jan. 17.

  • Warriors' Trayce Jackson-Davis: Won't play Sunday vs. Mavs

Jackson-Davis has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Mavericks due to an illness.

Jackson-Davis is under the weather and the illness is severe enough for him to be held out of Sunday's contest. He was a healthy DNP for the Warriors' final two games before the All-Star break and played only three minutes of garbage time during Friday's 132-108 win over the Kings, so his absence won't impact Golden State's rotation all that much. Jackson-Davis' next chance to play is Tuesday against the Hornets.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Close to making season debut

Shams Charania of ESPN reported Sunday that Robinson (ankle) is aiming to make his 2024-25 regular-season debut over the coming week.

Robinson was recently cleared to participate in 5-on-5 contact practices and has been participating in full since. He's scheduled to have another session early in the week, by which time the Knicks will have a clearer idea of his return date. Based on Charania's reporting, Robinson could be available as early as Wednesday against the 76ers, or he could make his regular-season debut at some point during the Knicks' two-game road trip starting Friday against the Grizzlies.
