Kings' Doug McDermott: Chips in seven points Sunday

McDermott ended with seven points (2-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one steal over 26 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to Portland.

The veteran sharpshooter landed a one-year deal with the Kings last summer, but it was not until the latter part of the year that he saw meaningful playing time. McDermott averaged 5.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 15.1 minutes per tilt through 29 games this season while shooting 39.0 percent from deep. He'll be trying to find a home as depth on the wing this offseason.

  • Kings' Dylan Cardwell: Wraps up decent rookie campaign

Cardwell accumulated six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, one block and one steal over 21 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to Portland.

Though it was fellow rookie Maxime Raynaud who was more productive for the Kings this year, Cardwell held his own in a backup role and will likely be pushing for a rotation spot in the frontcourt in 2026-27. Through 44 contests, Cardwell averaged 5.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 20.6 minutes per contest while shooting 58.7 percent from the floor.

  • Killian Hayes PG | SAC

Kings' Killian Hayes: Plays 26 minutes in finale

Hayes produced nine points (3-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and two steals over 26 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers.

The Kings hold a $3.02 million team option for 2026-27, and it will be interesting to see if the franchise brings him back. The guard appeared in 23 contests, posting averages of 5.5 points, 3.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.7 three-pointers on 30.4 percent shooting from the field.

  • Julian Reese PF | WAS

Wizards' Julian Reese: Efficient 14 points in finale

Reese finished Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Cavaliers with 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and three steals across 18 minutes.

Reese inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Wizards in February, and he certainly impressed during his brief time with Washington. He averaged 11.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals in 30.9 minutes per tilt over 13 games this season. Even so, Reese could have a harder time finding steady playing time on a healthier Washington team in 2026-27.

  • Kings' Daeqwon Plowden: Logs 22 minutes in loss

Plowden closed with eight points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, two assists and two blocks across 22 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Plowden carved out a decent role for himself down the stretch once the Kings waved the white towel on their season. The rookie ended up with 32 appearances and averages of 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.9 three-pointers in 26.4 minutes per contest.

  • Devin Carter SG | SAC

Kings' Devin Carter: Struggles with shot in loss

Carter chipped in eight points (3-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-5 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals over 34 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Carter couldn't find his rhythm from the field, but he was relatively close to a triple-double. Carter was out of the rotation for most of the season, but he eventually carved out a role once the Kings began their youth movement. Across 38 total appearances, he averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 18.4 minutes per contest.

  • Jaden Hardy SG | WAS

Wizards' Jaden Hardy: Quiet in regular-season finale

Hardy closed Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Cavaliers with six points (2-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), one rebound and three assists in 16 minutes.

Hardy opened the season without a stable role with Dallas, but his minutes picked up a bit with Washington. The combo guard averaged 12.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.4 minutes per tilt over 23 games for the Wizards. Hardy is under contract for the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Leaky Black SF | WAS

Wizards' Leaky Black: Closes out season on low note

Black notched zero points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal over nine minutes during Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Cavaliers.

After beginning the season with the G League's Capital City Go-Go, Black signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Wizards ahead of the All-Star break. The 26-year-old swingman averaged 7.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 28.9 minutes per tilt across 15 games this season, and he'll be a candidate to open next season with the G League.

  • Anthony Gill PF | WAS

Wizards' Anthony Gill: Scores 14 points in loss

Gill logged 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt), six rebounds and one steal over 30 minutes during Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Cavaliers.

After barely seeing the floor to open the season, Gill later became a key role player for the Wizards once the team started to dial back its regulars. Over his last 27 games of the campaign, Gill emerged as a deep-league fantasy asset with averages of 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 three-pointers in 26.9 minutes per contest.

  • Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Decent output Sunday

Henderson closed Sunday's 122-110 victory over the Kings with 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals over 27 minutes.

Henderson started in each of the Trail Blazers' last seven games and posted solid numbers, averaging 16.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc. Regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench, Henderson should play a big role in the Blazers' upcoming playoff run, starting with the Play-In Game against the Suns on Tuesday.
