  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Ruled out for Friday

Allen (knee) is out for Friday's game in Dallas.

Allen is set to sit out his fourth straight game Friday, and it's not encouraging that he continues to get ruled out 24 hours in advance of tipoff. Thomas Bryant and Jaylon Tyson will continue to pick up the slack in Allen's absence.

  • Hawks' Jonathan Kuminga: Cleared to play

Kuminga (knee) is available for Thursday's game against Brooklyn, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Kuminga will return to the hardwood after missing three straight matchups due to a left knee bone bruise. He's appeared in only three games since Jan. 22 but is averaging an impressive 21.3 points per contest on 67.7 percent shooting from the field during that brief stretch.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Slated for season-ending surgery

Sharpe has been diagnosed with an ulnar collateral ligament tear in his left thumb and will require season-ending surgery, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.

This is a tough blow for Sharpe, who was in the process of putting together one of the best campaigns of his young NBA career. He averaged 8.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 62 games. Both Danny Wolf and Josh Minott should be in the mix for backup center minutes with Sharpe sidelined.

  • Dyson Daniels SG | ATL

Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Won't play Thursday

Daniels is out for Thursday's game against the Nets due to left toe sprain, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Daniels is out of action for just the fourth time all year, and he can deemed day-to-day prior to Saturday's contest versus the Bucks. Zaccharie Risacher stands out as the most likely candidate to start at small forward in Daniels' stead, offering him a bump in streaming appeal in fantasy leagues.

  • Dillon Brooks SF | PHO

Suns' Dillon Brooks: Sheds cast; still no contact

Brooks has shed the cast on his surgically repaired left hand, but he's still not been cleared for contact work, Amanda Pflugrad of 3TV Phoenix reports.

Brooks is making steady progress in his recovery from a broken hand, and he's nearing the three-week mark of his initial 4-to-6 week timetable. In a best-case scenario, Brooks might be able to make it back to the court by March 24. Once he's cleared for contact, we'll know he's on the cusp of a return.

  • Adem Bona PF | PHI

    76ers' Adem Bona: Considered day-to-day

Bona, who has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Detroit, is being considered day-to-day after scans on his back came back clean, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Bona was sent for imaging after experiencing back soreness, but the results shows that he's managed to avoid a serious injury. The Sixers will presumably re-evaluate the big man again Friday to get a better idea of his availability for Saturday's clash against the Nets.

  • Obi Toppin PF | IND

Pacers' Obi Toppin: Won't play Thursday

Toppin (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday's game versus the Suns, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Toppin will hit the sidelines for the first leg of this back-to-back set, but maybe he'll be able to get back out there for Friday's game against the Knicks. Toppin's absence should open up some minutes for Kobe Brown and Micah Potter.

  • T.J. McConnell PG | IND

Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Won't go Thursday

McConnell (hamstring) is out for Thursday's game against the Suns, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

McConnell suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's game against Portland, and he's now in line to miss a second straight game. Expect Kam Jones and Ben Sheppard to see extended minutes in the backcourt with Aaron Nesmith (ankle) and Quenton Jackson (calf) also out.

  • Aaron Nesmith SF | IND

Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Sitting out Thursday

Nesmith (ankle) is out for Thursday's game against the Suns, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Nesmith's next chance to play comes during the second half of Indiana's back-to-back set versus the Knicks on Friday. The swingman's absence opens the door for Ben Sheppard and Kam Jones to see significant playing time on the wing Thursday.

  • Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Will play Thursday

Nembhard (back) is good to go for Thursday's game versus Phoenix, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Nembhard is back after a one-game stint on the sidelines, which may result in Kam Jones shifting back to the second unit. Nembhard is averaging 17.1 points, 7.4 assists and 1.9 triples per contest on the season.
