Grizzlies' Jahmai Mashack: Ruled out Friday

Mashack (ankle/nose) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Rockets.

Mashack will miss a sixth consecutive contest due to a left ankle sprain, and he's also being listed on the injury report with a nasal fracture. The rookie second-rounder's next opportunity to play will come Saturday against the Bulls.

  • Celtics' Baylor Scheierman: Starting versus Atlanta

Scheierman will start in Friday's game against Atlanta, according to Bobby Krivitsky of Forbes.com.

Jaylen Brown (calf) won't play, so Scheierman will enter the starting lineup. The 2024 No. 30 overall pick has started 17 times this season, amassing 9.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.1 blocks and 0.9 steals in those appearances.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Cleared to play Friday

Allen (knee) will play Friday versus Miami.

Allen was initially listed as probable, so the upgrade isn't much of a surprise. The 27-year-old hasn't played since March 3, so head coach Kenny Atkinson will take things slow by limiting him to around 20 minutes of work, according to Danny Cunningham of Sports Radio 92.3 The Fan Cleveland. As a result, Thomas Bryant should continue to see more minutes than usual from the second unit.

  • Keon Ellis SG | CLE

Cavaliers' Keon Ellis: Not starting Friday

Ellis won't start against the Heat on Friday, Danny Cunningham of Sports Radio 92.3 The Fan Cleveland reports.

Ellis got the starting nod in Wednesday's loss to Miami due to Dean Wade (ankle) and Jarrett Allen (knee) being out. However, Allen will return to the lineup Friday, pushing Ellis back to the second unit. Over nine appearances off the bench in March, the Alabama product has averaged 8.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks in 25.9 minutes per contest.

  • Bulls' Guerschon Yabusele: Available Friday

Yabusele (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Thunder.

With Yabusele available and Nick Richards (elbow) out, the former appears primed to draw the start at center for the Bulls on Friday. Yabusele has averaged 10.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.9 minutes per contest across 12 games as a starter for Chicago.

  • Warriors' Nate Williams: Not available Friday

The Warriors list Williams (two-way) out for Friday's game against the Wizards.

Even with the Warriors having already ruled out seven other players due to injury, the team will keep Williams inactive Friday for a third straight game so as not to use up his availability at the NBA level over the remainder of the season. After Friday's contest, Williams will be eligible to play in five of Golden State's remaining eight games.

  • Bulls' Nick Richards: Ruled out Friday

Richards (elbow) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Thunder.

Richards will miss Friday's contest due to a right elbow sprain he sustained in Wednesday's loss to Philadelphia. With the big man unavailable, Guerschon Yabusele will likely get the starting nod at center, while Patrick Williams and Leonard Miller are candidates to see increased playing time. Richards' next opportunity to play will come Saturday in Memphis.

  • Raptors' Trayce Jackson-Davis: Won't suit up Friday

Jackson-Davis has been ruled out for Friday's game against New Orleans due to right knee tendinitis.

Jackson-Davis has played sparingly of late, but he may have tweaked his knee at some point during his four-minute appearance in the Raptors' 119-94 loss to the Clippers. His absence Friday shouldn't affect the Toronto rotation.

  • Rob Dillingham PG | CHI

Bulls' Rob Dillingham: Upgraded to available

Dillingham (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Thunder.

Dillingham is good to go for the first leg of this back-to-back set and should fill his typical role off the bench. The second-year guard has averaged 13.1 points, 3.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 23.9 minutes per game across his last seven outings.

  • Isaac Okoro SF | CHI

Bulls' Isaac Okoro: Available to play

Okoro (knee) is available for Friday's game versus the Thunder.

Okoro was being listed as probable for Friday's game, and now we have official confirmation that he'll be out there. The 25-year-old swingman is averaging 9.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 triples per game this season.
