Welcome back, Travis Kelce. After Rashee Rice's unfortunate knee injury, Kelce returned to form and caught seven of nine targets for 89 yards. That's 20 more yards than he produced in the first three weeks combined. While he still doesn't have a touchdown, that one good game did catapult Kelce into the top 12 in the season-long and per-game Fantasy points. That tells you about all you need to know about the tight end position in 2024.

So what do we do with the tight ends that still haven't broken out? I'm still being patient with Sam LaPorta and his 6.7 FPPG. While I don't have much hope that LaPorta will justify his ADP, I do still expect that he will be a top-12 tight end more often than not. If someone drops him on his bye week, I will quickly scoop him up. His 21% target share in Week 4 was encouraging.

I can't make the same argument for Mark Andrews. While I understand if you're just going to hold him and hope things turn around, after back-to-back goose eggs, I am no longer forcing Andrews into my top 12. While I'm not telling you to drop him, I would absolutely start all of the streamers below over him.

Here's everything else you need to know about tight end in Week 5:

The following players are not being projected to play Week 5 at this time. Here's what it means:

Taysom Hill TE
NO New Orleans • #7

Hill sniped two touchdowns before he was injured again. When he comes back he's a good starter in non-PPR.

  • 2.37 -- Dallas Goedert is averaging 2.37 yards per route run.

It's not showing up in Fantasy production yet, but Parkinson has a 23% target share in two games without Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. he also has good red zone usage. While we've seen the past two weeks that doesn't guarantee Fantasy production, it's about as good as anything else to bet on.
Tucker Kraft TE

Kraft earned nine targets last week and scored 17.3 PPR Fantasy points in Week 4. He looks like the clear top tight end in Green Bay, and with Jordan Love back, we project to this to be one of the top pass offenses in the league.

In his last two games, Ferguson has 13 catches for 144 yards on 18 targets. The Steelers defense should put pressure on Dak Prescott, and Ferguson is his security blanket. I would not be surprised to see another double-digit target game, and I have him projected as the top tight end in Week 5.

Likely hasn't done anything since Week 1, but he's running more routes than Mark Andrews, and this is a good matchup in the game with the highest over/under on the slate.
