Tomlinson (knee) isn't listed on Wednesday's injury report. Tomlinson missed some time during training camp due to a knee injury, but he was never expected to be in line for an extended absence. His absence from Wednesday's injury report suggests the defensive tackle will be ready to go Week 1 against New Orleans. Tomlinson is slated to start along the Cardinals' defensive line after spending that past two campaigns in Cleveland.

Tomlinson (knee) won't practice Thursday, but coach Jonathan Gannon doesn't expect him to be sidelined for an extended period, Theo Mackie of AZCentral.com reports. "He's doing well but I didn't think it was the right thing to do to put him out there today," Gannon said. Tomlinson's availability for the regular season doesn't appear to be in jeopardy, though he may sit out Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos. He's expected to start on the interior of Arizona's defensive line after signing a two-year, $29 million contract with the Cardinals in March.

The Cardinals signed Tomlinson to a two-year, $29 million contract Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The deal comes with $16 million guaranteed. Tomlinson was officially released by the Browns on Monday afternoon in order to designate him as a post-June 1 cut, and he's quickly back on his feet in the desert. Tomlinson was a 16-game starter for Cleveland last season and piled up 26 tackles (13 solo), including 3.0 sacks. He figures to slide right in as a starting defensive tackle for Arizona.

The Browns released Tomlinson on Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. The move was expected, but the Browns had to wait for the new league year to start in order to designate the veteran defensive tackle as a post-June 1 cut. With the move, Cleveland clears more than $6.4 million in cap space but incurs $5.042 million in dead money. The 31-year-old started all 16 regular-season games in which he appeared last season, ringing up 26 tackles (13 solo), including 3.0 sacks. He's started all 125 games he's appeared in across eight seasons in the league and should be able to find work elsewhere.

The Browns informed Tomlinson (knee) on Monday that he will be released as a post-June 1 cut, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Although Tomlinson won't be released by the Browns until after June 1, Schefter relays that the veteran defensive tackle can officially sign with any team when the new league year starts Wednesday. Tomlinson played in 16 regular-season games for the Browns in 2024 and finished with 26 tackles (13 solo), including 3.0 sacks. The 2017 second-round pick should garner plenty of interest from teams looking to bolster their interior defensive line.
