  • McManus made all three extra points he attempted and a game-winning 45-yard field goal as time expired in Sunday's 24-22 victory over the Texans. McManus replaced Brayden Narveson as Green Bay's kicker last week, and it took him no time at all to make an impact for his new team. The Packers have been seeking consistency at the kicker spot for a while, so he figures to hold down the job for a team that ranks seventh in the league at 26.6 points per game with two games to go in Week 7.

  • McManus agreed to a one-year deal with the Packers on Tuesday and is expected to serve as the team's kicker for Sunday's game against the Texans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. McManus spent his first nine seasons with the Broncos before catching on with Jacksonville during the 2023 campaign. He converted 30 of 37 field goal attempts and all 35 extra-points during his stint with the Jaguars. The veteran then landed with the Commanders in the offseason but was subsequently let go one week after reports surfaced that he was the subject of a civil lawsuit. With the NFL conducting an investigation that found insufficient evidence of McManus violating the league's personal conduct policy, the Packers apparently felt comfortable with bringing the 33-year-old aboard to upgrade their kicking game. Green Bay will waive Brayden Narveson to make room on the roster for McManus.

  • McManus agreed to terms on a one-year, $3.6 million contract with Washington on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. McManus' deal presumably indicates Joey Slye will not be brought back by Washington. The 32-year-old McManus spent his first nine seasons in Denver before converting 30 of 37 field goals and all 35 extra points for the Jaguars in 2023. It remains to be seen if the Commanders will bring in any competition for the veteran kicker.

  • McManus made both field-goal attempts and both PATs against the Titans in Week 18. He played in all 17 games and went 30-for-37 on field goals and 35-for-35 on PATs. The 32-year-old tied a career high with 125 points, and it was the first time since 2018 he didn't miss an extra point. Five of McManus' misses came from beyond 50 yards, with the other two being from 40-to-49 yards, so he should be able to secure a contract for 2024 somewhere after kicking for the Jags on a one-year deal.
