Campbell compiled seven tackles (four solo) in the 49ers' win Sunday versus Tampa Bay. Campbell finished second on the team in tackles behind Fred Warner' nine. Campbell logged seven tackles (six solo) in San Francisco's win Sunday versus Dallas. Campbell had another productive outing Sunday as he finished second on the team in stops. He has now amassed 45 tackles (25 solo) across his first eight appearances this season and will look to add to those numbers Week 10 versus the Buccaneers, following San Francisco's upcoming bye week.

Campbell wrapped up nine tackles (two solo) with one pass defended in Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Cardinals. Campbell's nine tackles marked a new season high for the newly signed linebacker. The 30-year-old has posted modest numbers despite playing nearly every snap on defense for San Francisco this season. The 129-plus tackle seasons from Campbell's days in Atlanta and Green Bay seem like a distant memory, but there may still be some IDP value to be had for the starting linebacker.

The 49ers signed Campbell to a one-year deal Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The eight-year veteran is signing with the 49ers after spending the last three seasons of his career in Green Bay. Campbell struggled with injuries last year, appearing in just 11 games, but he still recorded 75 total tackles and defended one pass. The 30-year-old could very well have the opportunity to compete for a starting job in the 49ers' linebacker corps this offseason, especially with Dre Greenlaw recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in the Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs.

Campbell (neck) was considered to be a full participant at the Packers' walk-through Wednesday. Campbell has missed Green Bay's last two contests while dealing with a neck injury, but he appears ready to make his return to the field for Sunday's win-and-in matchup with the Bears. The linebacker has been battling some injuries throughout the season, but he's recorded 67 tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass deflection over 10 contests in 2023.
