The 49ers signed Campbell to a one-year deal Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The eight-year veteran is signing with the 49ers after spending the last three seasons of his career in Green Bay. Campbell struggled with injuries last year, appearing in just 11 games, but he still recorded 75 total tackles and defended one pass. The 30-year-old could very well have the opportunity to compete for a starting job in the 49ers' linebacker corps this offseason, especially with Dre Greenlaw recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in the Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs.

Campbell (neck) was considered to be a full participant at the Packers' walk-through Wednesday. Campbell has missed Green Bay's last two contests while dealing with a neck injury, but he appears ready to make his return to the field for Sunday's win-and-in matchup with the Bears. The linebacker has been battling some injuries throughout the season, but he's recorded 67 tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass deflection over 10 contests in 2023.

Campbell (neck) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. The Packers listed Campbell as doubtful Friday after the inside linebacker was unable to practice all week. It will be his second straight missed game with a neck injury. In Campbell's absence, Isaiah McDuffie drew the start at inside linebacker for Week 16 against the Panthers and finished with eight tackles (five solo) while playing 46 defensive snaps.

Campbell (neck) is inactive for Thursday's Week 12 clash against the Lions, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Campbell hurt his neck Sunday against the Chargers. He was estimated as a full practice participant Wednesday but still won't be able to suit up for Thursday's Thanksgiving matchup. Isaiah McDuffie is set to get the start in Campbell's stead.

The Packers have listed Campbell (neck) as questionable for Thursday' matchup with the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports. Campbell is still nursing a neck injury that could possibly hold him out of Thursday's contest. The 2016 fourth-round pick will look to play versus Detroit, but if he's unable to suit up, Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson should see increased playing time.
