Boyle completed 27 of 50 passes for 276 yards, one touchdown and one interception while rushing three times for nine yards over three games (two with Miami and one with the Giants) during the regular season. All three of Boyle's appearances came as a backup -- he replaced Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley in separate games while with Miami, then stepped in for Tommy DeVito in Week 15 as a member of the Giants. That's reflective of his role throughout his career, as Boyle has started just five times in 23 NFL regular-season games. Boyle will be an unrestricted free agent when the campaign comes to a close, and he's likely to work as either a backup or a practice-squad member in an NFL organization next season.

Boyle will serve as the Giants' third-string emergency quarterback Sunday behind starter Drew Lock and backup Tommy DeVito. Boyle will only be allowed to see the field if both Lock and DeVito were to exit the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

Boyle has appeared in one game since signing with the Giants in November, and that came when Lock was out with an injury and DeVito had to exit due to a concussion.

Boyle was active for last Sunday's loss to Baltimore and played all of the second half due to Tommy DeVito exiting with a concussion. However, Boyle has since cleared the NFL's five-step protocol, and Drew Lock is returning to start after missing last Sunday due to injury, so Boyle will be pushed back to the emergency QB role. He'll be able to enter Sunday's game only if both Lock and DeVito are unable to play due to injury, illness or ejection.

Boyle came on for DeVito against Baltimore in Week 15 and was 12-of-24 passing for 123 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. In deeper Superflex and two-quarterback leagues, you might need Boyle, and the Falcons have allowed six of the past eight opposing quarterbacks to score at least 21.8 Fantasy points.
