  • Tim Boyle: Let go by Tennessee
    By RotoWire

The Titans released Boyle on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. The Titans will shake up their quarterback room by letting Boyle go while signing Trevor Siemian. Boyle struggled in Tennessee's 29-7 preseason loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday, completing four of 13 passes for 24 yards and an interception. Boyle has appeared in 23 games (five starts) across his seven-year NFL career and should draw interest from teams looking to add a journeyman quarterback.

The Titans signed Boyle to a contract Wednesday. Boyle, a storied journeyman who's logged action for the Packers, Lions, Bears, Jets, Dolphins and Giants in his NFL career, now joins a Tennessee quarterback room alongside incumbents Will Levis and Brandon Allen. The Titans are strong candidates to make further additions to the quarterback room this offseason, potentially including with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

  • Boyle completed 27 of 50 passes for 276 yards, one touchdown and one interception while rushing three times for nine yards over three games (two with Miami and one with the Giants) during the regular season. All three of Boyle's appearances came as a backup -- he replaced Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley in separate games while with Miami, then stepped in for Tommy DeVito in Week 15 as a member of the Giants. That's reflective of his role throughout his career, as Boyle has started just five times in 23 NFL regular-season games. Boyle will be an unrestricted free agent when the campaign comes to a close, and he's likely to work as either a backup or a practice-squad member in an NFL organization next season.

    By RotoWire

Boyle (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Boyle will serve as the Giants' third-string emergency quarterback Sunday behind starter Drew Lock and backup Tommy DeVito. Boyle will only be allowed to see the field if both Lock and DeVito were to exit the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

  • Giants' Tim Boyle: Emergency QB Sunday
    By RotoWire

Boyle (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. The third quarterback would need starter Drew Lock and backup Tommy DeVito to get injured, sick or ejected to be able to enter the contest. Boyle has appeared in one game since signing with the Giants in November, and that came when Lock was out with an injury and DeVito had to exit due to a concussion.
