The wide receiver was released with an injury settlement by the Dolphins last August but didn't play during the 2024 campaign. Now healthy again, Snead will try to catch on with a new team ahead of the 2025 season. The veteran has just six regular-season catches for 52 yards since 2020.

Snead caught on with Miami in late July after appearing in four regular-season games for the 49ers in 2023. He caught one pass for 13 yards across his two preseason outings with the Dolphins, but he was set to miss the entire 2024 season after being placed on injured reserve Monday. Now that he's been let go with an injury settlement, Snead will be able to sign with another team once he is fully healthy.

Snead reverted to the 49ers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Snead was elevated prior to Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Lions, but the veteran wideout ended up being inactive. He'll wait to see if he gets called up again in two weeks for the Super Bowl.
