Campbell is a candidate to be elevated from the Eagles' practice squad ahead of Monday night's game against the Falcons, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. With both A.J. Brown (hamstring, questionable) and Johnny Wilson (hamstring, questionable) dealing with injuries, elevating Campbell would provide the team with some wideout depth ahead of Week 2 action. Also in the mix in the team's WR corps, but not on the injury report, are DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson and Britain Covey.

The Eagles signed Campbell to their practice squad Wednesday. Campbell inked a one-year deal with the Eagles in March before failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster Tuesday. He'll look to make an impression on the Eagles' practice squad after posting 20 receptions for 104 yards and no touchdowns across 12 regular-season games with the Giants in 2023.

The Eagles are slated to release Campbell on Tuesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Campbell spent much of training camp dealing with a groin injury, but he managed to suit up for and impress during Philadelphia's preseason finale by catching both of his targets from Kenny Pickett for 34 yards. As a result of his ability to contribute both as a depth wideout and in the return game, Campbell should have little difficulty resurfacing as at least a practice squad player this season, whether with the Eagles or another team.

Campbell caught both his targets for 34 yards and returned one kickoff for 18 yards in Saturday's 26-3 preseason loss to the Vikings. The former Colt and Giant has dealt with a groin strain for most of training camp, but he looked healthy Saturday as he got the start and caught both of Kenny Pickett's longest completions of the day for 19 and 15 yards. Campbell was signed in the offseason to compete for the No. 3 wideout role behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but the Eagles' trade for Jahan Dotson on Thursday likely bumps him one rung further down the depth chart. Campbell's ability to contribute on special teams -- he averaged 30.4 yards per kickoff return in college at Ohio State -- might be what saves his spot on the 53-man roster.

Campbell (groin) appears to be a full practice participant Wednesday, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Campbell returned to limited participation last week and is now practicing without any restrictions. He's competing for the No. 3 receiver job, with challengers Johnny Wilson and John Ross both in concussion protocol at the moment.
