Reeder is slated to start at inside linebacker against the Ravens on Sunday due to the absence of Omar Speights (ankle), Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Speights was unable to practice all week due to a high ankle sprain that he sustained during the Rams' Week 5 loss to the 49ers. Reeder has mostly served on special teams this season but is in line to start for the first time this season at inside linebacker alongside Nate Landman.

Reeder appears to be behind both Nate Landman and Omar Speights on the Rams' depth chart at inside linebacker during training camp, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports. Reeder started the first six games of the season in 2024 and served as an every-down linebacker for Los Angeles, but he injured his hamstring in Week 7 and missed the remainder of the campaign. After the Rams signed Nate Landman to a one-year deal this offseason, it appears Los Angeles is rolling with an inside linebacker duo of Landman and Omar Speights.

The Rams re-signed Reeder (hamstring) to a one-year contract Thursday. Reeder earned a starting role at inside linebacker to kick off the 2024 campaign, but a hamstring injury sustained Week 7 limited him to just six appearances (all starts) on the season. Now heading into his age-31 season, the decision to re-sign with Los Angeles provides Reeder another chance at earning a starting role on defense. Nate Landman, Omar Speights and Jaylen McCollough all represent competition at the linebacker position.

The Rams designated Reeder (hamstring) to return from injured reserve Thursday. Reeder has been on injured reserve since Oct. 24 due to a hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 7 against the Raiders. Per Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio, Reeder was a full participant in Thursday's practice, but he would have to be activated from IR in order to play in Sunday's NFC divisional-round clash against Philadelphia. In the six regular-season games prior to the start of his IR stint, Reeder tallied 46 tackles (26 solo) and one pass defense.

The Rams placed Reeder (hamstring) on injured reserve Thursday. Reeder was unable to practice during the Rams' short week due to a hamstring injury, which appears severe enough for him to warrant a stint on injured reserve. As a result, Reeder will be forced to sit out for at least the next four regular-season games, and the earliest he can return is Week 12 against the Eagles on Nov. 24. Michael Hoecht and Omar Speights will use Thursday's game against the Vikings as an opportunity to make a case for the starting linebacker job alongside Christian Rozeboom while Reeder is sidelined.
