Now with the active roster, Pettis will likely remain a depth option in New Orleans' receiving corps while operating as the top return man in the Week 14 matchup against the Buccaneers.

He logged three snaps on offense without recording any targets, though the veteran wideout also played nine snaps on special teams and returned two punts for 12 yards along with two kicks for 47 yards. Since Pettis has already been elevated three times, he'd need to be signed to the active roster to suit up for the Saints again during the regular season.

The 30-year-old has caught just one pass for 14 yards across his two appearances and should continue to have a limited role on offense. This is the final time the team can elevate Pettis, and it would have to sign him to the active roster in order for him to play again.

The wide receiver finished fifth at his position in offensive snaps behind Devaughn Vele (71), Chris Olave (64), Mason Tipton (56) and Kevin Austin (10). Pettis also registered 10 yards on three punt returns and returned two kickoffs for 48 yards while playing 10 snaps on special teams. Pettis can still be elevated one more time before the team would have to officially sign him to the active roster.
