  • Cowboys' Dante Fowler: Links up with Dallas
    By RotoWire

The Cowboys signed Fowler to a one-year contract worth up to $8 million Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Fowler impressed with 10.5 sacks across 17 regular-season appearances with the Commanders in 2024, just the second double-digit sack year of his nine seasons to date in the NFL. Now heading into his 10th campaign, Fowler will get an opportunity to keep up his momentum as an integral part of Dallas' pass rush he was also part of in 2022 and 2023, a unit headlined by Micah Parsons. The landing spot could allow him to maintain some fantasy value in IDP formats.

  • Fowler recorded two total tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 30-24 overtime win over the Falcons. The 30-year-old was one of two Commanders to tally a sack in Sunday's overtime win, bringing down rookie Michael Penix in the third quarter. Fowler is quietly having a very productive season in his first year with the Commanders, recording 35 total tackles, including a team-leading 10.5 sacks (No. 10 in the NFL), and one pick-six while appearing in all 16 of the team's regular-season games so far. He's expected to remain one of the NFL's best edge rushers in Week 18, when the Commanders face the Cowboys.

  • Fowler (groin) was a full participant in practice Wednesday. Fowler was dealing with a hip injury in the lead-up to Washington's Week 13 win over Tennessee, but he was able to play in that contest, logging 62 percent of the team's defensive snaps. The veteran linebacker is now listed as having a groin issue following the Commanders' Week 14 bye, but his ability to practice in full Wednesday suggests he's not in danger of missing Sunday's matchup against New Orleans. Fowler leads Washington with 8.5 sacks on the campaign.
