Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Fenton (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Fenton played 96 percent of the team's defensive snaps and recorded two tackles during Monday's win over the Raiders, but he presumably picked up a hamstring injury as well. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but if he doesn't return to practice Thursday or Friday, he'll be in danger of being sidelined for Week 6.

Fenton (shoulder) was activated off the active/PUP list Tuesday and returned to practice, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports. The 25-year-old cornerback has played over 500 defensive snaps in each of the last two seasons and finished the 2021 campaign with a career-high 49 tackles.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Friday that Fenton (shoulder) won't practice to start training camp and will likely land on the active/PUP list, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports. Fenton missed all of the Chiefs' offseason workouts after undergoing shoulder surgery this offseason. Kansas City drafted three cornerbacks and traded for Lonnie Johnson at the end of April, so it appears the Chiefs have a contingency plan in case Fenton's absence extends into the regular season.
