Harris (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against Carolina, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports. Harris will miss a second straight game due to a foot injury. The veteran operates primarily on special teams, so his absence shouldn't impact Atlanta's defense.

Harris registered seven tackles (four solo) and one pass deflection during Sunday's 43-3 loss to the Cowboys. Harris has registered at least seven tackles in four straight games since the Falcons' Week 6 bye. The 31-year-old safety's tackling production makes him a high-floor IDP option, but his lack of sacks and turnovers leaves little upside for fantasy managers.

Harris (calf) is not listed on Wednesday's injury report. Harris missed Week 5 due to a calf injury, but he appears to have returned to full health during Atlanta's bye. He stands to resume handling his usual starting role beginning with Sunday's road matchup against the Dolphins.

Harris (calf) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports. Harris picked up the calf injury during Sunday's loss to Washington, and he was unable to practice Wednesday. The 31-year-old likely will need to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have a chance of playing Week 5.

Harris signed a contract with the Falcons on Thursday, Jason Butt of the Atlanta News Now reports. Harris spent the past four seasons with the Raiders, during which he saw a significant amount of defensive snaps as he served as the starting strong safety for the team. During his 2020 campaign, Harris posted 61 tackles (44 solo), five pass breakups and a forced fumble through 14 games. The 30-year-old will aim to provide a boost to Atlanta's secondary in the upcoming NFL season.
