  • Wallace (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday night's matchup against the Packers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. The Clemson product was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday and practiced in full throughout the week, but it appears he's not ready for in-game action just yet. Wallace will remain on injured reserve, and his next opportunity to suit up will come Dec. 22 when the Seahawks face the Vikings. Rayshawn Jenkins is likely to serve as Seattle's top reserve safety with Wallace out in Week 15.

  • Wallace (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Wallace has missed Seattle's last four games after sustaining an ankle injury in a Week 9 loss to the Rams, but Wednesday's return to practice suggests he's nearly past the issue. The 27-year-old now has 21 days to be activated to the Seahawks' active roster before reverting to IR. If activated in time, he could serve as one of Seattle's top reserve safeties in Sunday night's matchup against the Packers.

Wallace is signing a one-year contract with the Seahawks on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Wallace split last season between the Cardinals and Titans, playing a total of 17 games. He set career highs across the board in 2023 with 89 tackles and six passes defended, including his first career interception, but he may not see as big a workload on defense in a Seattle secondary that already features Julian Love and Rayshawn Jenkins at safety.
