Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed Sunday that Love suffered a concussion during Saturday's loss at Chicago, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Love's diagnosis already was known when he was ruled out for the rest of Week 16 action, but he now will need to increase his activity level as this coming week goes on and also gain clearance from an independent neurologist in order to play next Saturday against the Ravens. The Packers will post their first Week 17 injury report Tuesday, at which point the statuses of both Love and backup QB Malik Willis (shoulder) -- who is "pretty sore" following Saturday's game, as LaFleur told Hodkiewicz -- may gain some clarity. Green Bay currently has a quarterback (Clayton Tune) on the practice squad, but LaFleur relayed that RB Josh Jacobs and WR Jayden Reed are emergency options at the position if such a scenario arose.

Love has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's clash against Chicago due to a concussion. Love took a helmet-to-helmet hit from a Chicago defender midway through the second quarter and was subsequently evaluated for a concussion. That testing has led to the star quarterback being ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's big NFC North matchup. Love will finish the game having completed eight of 13 passes for 77 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions while adding two rushes for seven yards. Malik Willis will be under center for Green Bay for the remainder of Saturday's game.

I started the week with Love as a sit in this matchup at Chicago because I didn't expect Christian Watson (chest) to play. But now it appears like Watson will be active after practicing all week on a limited basis, and that's a boost for Love, who should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues. He scored 25.4 Fantasy points against the Bears in Week 14, and he has at least 21.7 Fantasy points in two of his past three games on the road. Chicago has also allowed two of the past three opposing quarterbacks to score at least 20.3 Fantasy points, and Love should have the chance for a quality outing as long as Watson is active.

Love completed 24 of 40 passes for 276 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Broncos. He added three rushes for 29 yards. Love attempted at least 40 passes for only the second time this season, and for the first time since Week 4. He had plenty of strong moments, highlighted by four completions of at least 20 yards, as well as a scramble that picked up 24 yards. Love's lone touchdown of the game came on a lofted pass to the back corner of the end zone to Josh Jacobs from 14 yards away. While those moments helped keep the Packers in the game, Love threw a pair of key picks -- one that led to a Broncos touchdown and another that ended a potential game-tying drive late in the fourth quarter. He should have the chance to bounce back in a softer Week 16 matchup in an NFC North showdown with the Bears.

The Broncos have allowed more than 21 Fantasy points in their past two games against Marcus Mariota in Week 14 and the combination of Geno Smith and Kenny Pickett in Week 15, but this is still a difficult matchup since Denver is No. 5 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks for the season. We'll see if Love can overcome this defense, and he's hot right now with at least 21.7 Fantasy points in three of his past four games, including two outings on the road at the Giants and Lions. But Love has also struggled in some tough matchups against Philadelphia in Week 10 and Minnesota in Week 12, and he scored 7.8 Fantasy points or less in each of those two games. I'm still starting Love in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues, but I would bench him in one-quarterback leagues in Week 15.
