  • Love completed 21 of 42 passes for 387 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 39-22 loss to the Vikings. He also rushed once for no gain and fumbled twice, losing one. Love started hot, connecting with Christian Watson for an 81-yard touchdown in the first quarter and a two-yard touchdown in the final minute of the first half. Green Bay's offense sputtered in the second half, and both of Love's turnovers came in the fourth quarter, during which the Vikings outscored the Packers, 22-0. Love finished with the second-highest passing yards total of his career, trailing only his 389-yard performance in a Week 4 loss to the Vikings in 2024, and he exceeded 42 pass attempts only once in 15 regular-season starts last season. Green Bay may continue to rely heavily on Love's arm as long as Josh Jacobs (personal) is on the Commissioner's Exempt List, which may remain the case Week 2 against the Jets.

  • Packers' Jordan Love: QBs to Sit
    By Jamey Eisenberg

Love has faced the Vikings five times since Brian Flores has been Minnesota's defensive coordinator, and Love has scored 16.6 Fantasy points or less in three of those outings. Now, in two of those games, Love has scored at least 34.4 Fantasy points, so there is potential for a big performance. I'm excited about what Love can do this season, especially since the run game could be lackluster in Green Bay while Josh Jacobs (Commission's Exempt List) is out. But I don't want to start him in one-quarterback leagues in this matchup if I can avoid it. The Vikings come into Week 1 having allowed nine quarterbacks in a row to score one touchdown or less, including Love in Week 12 last year. I would only use Love in Superflex or two-quarterback leagues.

  • Love completed five of seven passes for 56 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the Packers' 33-13 preseason win over the Broncos on Friday. Love got the start for the second time in as many preseason games and began his night by leading a 12-play, 63-yard march that culminated in an 11-yard touchdown pass to MarShawn Lloyd. Love also recorded completions of 14 and five yards to Christian Watson, as well as a 19-yard strike to Matthew Golden. The veteran signal-caller was done for the night after that opening possession, and given he also played one series in the exhibition opener against the Steelers, Love's next time on the field likely will be in a Week 1 NFC North road showdown against the Vikings.

  • Head coach Matt LaFleur said that he plans for Love and the Packers' other offensive starters to take some snaps during Friday's preseason game versus the Broncos, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Love looks poised to play for the second week in a row after he took the field for the opening series in Thursday's 28-9 loss to the Steelers in the exhibition opener. While LaFleur didn't go into specifics regarding his plan for Love's workload, the quarterback will likely be in line to play more than the one possession, but perhaps not much more than that. LaFleur added that Love is unlikely to play in the preseason finale Aug. 28 versus the Cardinals.

  • Love said that working mostly with Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden (toe) this summer has helped improve his timing with his wide receivers, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports. Love noted that due to the team's depth at the position last summer, the Packers rotated wide receivers more often, and it made it more difficult to build chemistry. With Romeo Doubs gone to New England as a free agent and Dontayvion Wicks traded to the Eagles, Green Bay now has a clear wideout trio atop the depth chart. Across 15 regular-season starts last season, Love completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,381 yards and a 23:6 TD:INT. Being healthy after last summer's thumb injury should also help Love heading into 2026.
