Washington signed Felton to a reserve/future contract Wednesday. Felton won't be eligible to contribute as a member of the Commanders during the postseason, but he'll get an opportunity to compete for a depth role with the team during offseason activities. The 26-year-old running back spent time on Chicago's practice squad in 2024, but he hasn't suited up for regular-season action since 2022, with the Browns.

Felton was released from the Bears' practice squad Tuesday, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The 26-year-old signed to Chicago's practice squad Dec. 3 after getting cut by the team in August. Felton last appeared in an NFL regular-season game in 2022 with the Browns. He had eight carries for 20 yards and no scores across the 2021 and '22 campaigns, though he did catch 18 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns in 2021.

The Colts waived Felton on Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports. Felton joined the Colts on Aug. 12 and played in the final two preseason games, during which he accumulated 57 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries. The 2021 sixth-round pick could be invited back to the Colts' practice squad, or he could explore other options assuming he goes unclaimed off waivers.

The Bears waived Felton on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The move makes room for the addition of Jaylon Hutchings. Felton joined the Bears on July 28 after spending all of 2023 on the Bengals' practice squad. The 2021 sixth-round pick rushed for minus-one yard on his only carry in Saturday's 33-6 preseason win over the Bills. Felton will look to catch on with another team in need of running back depth should he clear waivers.

Felton spent 2023 as a member of the Bengals' practice squad after failing to make the team's 53-man roster at the end of training camp. After being selected by the Browns in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Felton played in 24 regular-season games for Cleveland over the next two seasons. He has accrued just 20 rushing yards and 189 receiving yards in his NFL career, and he will compete with Travis Homer and Ian Wheeler for the fourth spot on the Bears' running back depth chart.
