The Jets worked out Brooks (undisclosed) on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The 2022 sixth-round pick from Cincinnati was waived from the Commanders' injured reserve after sustaining an undisclosed injury early August. However, Brooks' workout with the Jets on Monday suggests he's since moved past the issue. The 26-year-old has yet to appear in an NFL game, but he could find his way onto the Jets' practice squad if Monday's workout went well.

Brooks (undisclosed) was Ben Standig of The Athletic on IR on Tuesday. Brooks just joined the Commanders on Thursday after being waived by the Titans in July. It's unclear what Brooks' injury is, but he'll now be forced to miss the entirety of the 2023 season unless he can reach an injury settlement with the team.

Brooks signed with the Commanders on Thursday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports. Brooks spent some of last season on the Titans' practice squad before being released and landing with Washington. The 2022 sixth-round pick will aim to make the Commanders' active roster ahead of the coming season.
