  Shaheed underwent a full repair of his meniscus Thursday and will miss the rest of the season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The Saints placed Shaheed on injured reserve Thursday afternoon, ruling him out for at least four games. But not long after, Schefter reported that Shaheed's recovery timeline will be 4-to-6 months. Shaheed thus will turn his focus to getting healthy for the 2025 campaign. With Chris Olave (concussion) out Thursday against the Broncos, New Orleans' receiving corps will be composed of Mason Tipton, Bub Means, Cedrick Wilson, Equanimeous St. Brown and Jermaine Jackson.

Shaheed thus will miss at least the next four games, but the meniscus surgery that he's undergoing Thursday in Los Angeles ultimately will determine if he has a chance to return to the Saints' active roster this season. If he ends up having a full repair, he'll be out for the rest of the campaign.

  Saints head coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday that Shaheed (knee) is slated to undergo surgery to address a meniscus injury and may be placed on injured reserve, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Shaheed thus will join Chris Olave (concussion) as out for Week 7 action, and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the former's procedure will determine if he misses multiple weeks or even the rest of the campaign. With their top two wide receivers sidelined for at least Thursday's contest, the Saints will turn to Mason Tipton, Cedrick Wilson (ankle) and Bub Means at the position, while Equanimeous St. Brown, Kevin Austin, Dante Pettis and Jermaine Jackson are candidates to be elevated from the practice squad.

Shaheed will likely need to log some activity at Wednesday's practice to have a chance at playing Thursday against the Broncos. The Saints will likely have a depleted receiving corps versus Denver, as Chris Olave (concussion) didn't practice Tuesday either and appears unlikely to be available Thursday.

  Shaheed, who was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report, is getting his knee checked out to determine the severity of the injury he sustained in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Per Underhill, there's some concern Shaheed could miss time, but more will be known in that regard after the wideout's knee gets evaluated further. With Chris Olave dealing with a concussion, the status of the Saints' top WRs is a concern for the team ahead of Thursday night's game against the Broncos. If neither of them are able to face Denver, added opportunities would be available for Mason Tipton, Cedrick Wilson (ankle) and Bub Means (hand).
