The Giants worked out Davis (illness) on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Davis dealt with an illness earlier in the offseason but is now healthy and looking for work after appearing in 80 regular-season games with the Dolphins and Colts over the previous five seasons. He started 48 games for Miami across the 2020-23 seasons.

Davis was released by the Colts on Thursday. The defensive tackle was let go with a non-football illness designation, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. Davis played in all 17 games but didn't start a single one for the Colts in 2024, recording 15 tackles (seven solo) and a pass breakup. Davis initially signed a two-year, $14-million contract with Indianapolis last offseason, but this move will save the team $6.46 million in cap space, per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com.

The Colts activated Davis off their active/non-football illness list Monday. Davis missed almost a month on the Colts' active/NFI list due to high blood pressure, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. The interior defensive lineman inked a two-year, $14 million deal with Indianapolis this past offseason after recording 61 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, across the last two seasons in Miami. Expect the trio of DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart and Davis to wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines in 2024.

Davis' placement on the Colts' active/non-football illness list is due to high blood pressure, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports. Though there's some clarity on Davis' placement on the active/non-football illness list, the timetable for his return is unknown. Expect Taven Bryan and Eric Johnson to get the majority of Davis' reps as he continues to nurse his high blood pressure.

The Colts placed Davis (undisclosed) on the active/non-football illness list Wednesday, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports. Davis inked a two-year, $14 million deal with the Colts earlier in the offseason, and he'll now have to miss the start of Indianapolis' training camp with an illness. The Alabama product recorded 28 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in 17 games with Miami last season, and he's in line to serve as a rotational defensive lineman once he moves past his illness.
