  Davidson tallied 2.0 sacks in Sunday's 29-20 win over Seattle in Week 5. Davidson logged just a half-sack over his first 20 regular-season NFL games after entering the league in 2022, so his performance Sunday was a bit unexpected. Both of the defensive end's sacks came in a tight second half -- he brought down Geno Smith on a first-down play in the third quarter to help limit the Seahawks to a field goal, then took Smith down again with under a minute left in the fourth as Seattle attempted to mount a final rally. Davidson logged 33 percent of New York's defensive snaps Sunday, which is in line with the workload he has handled overall through the first five weeks of the campaign.

• Giants' D.J. Davidson: Full practice Wednesday

  Davidson (knee) was a full participant at the Giants' practice Wednesday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Davidson missed the team's 14-9 loss to the Bills in Week 6 while dealing with a knee injury, but his full practice Wednesday all but clears him to play in Week 7. The 26-year-old will return to his role as a primary reserve option on New York's defensive line against Washington on Sunday.

  Davidson (knee) was not listed on the Giants' injury report Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Davidson seems to be good to go for Sunday's game against the Cardinals after missing the season opener with a knee injury. The 2022 fifth-round pick will likely serve as a rotational player on the line alongside Rakeem Nunez-Roches and Jordon Riley.

  Davidson (knee) passed his physical Monday and was activated from the active/PUP list by the Giants Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports. Davidson tore his ACL last October and was sidelined to begin training camp, but it appears he's healthy enough to return to practice. As a rookie last year, the fifth-round pick played just 40 defensive snaps across five games before suffering the season-ending injury.
