Akers had 10 carries for 24 yards, including a one-yard touchdown, in Monday's win over Chicago. Akers got significant work behind Aaron Jones, playing on 21 of the offense's 77 snaps. Jones had 18 carries and two receptions while playing 47 snaps. Akers should continue to get about a third of the snaps to keep Jones fresh.

Akers had four carries for 22 yards in Sunday's win over Arizona. Akers played 16 of the offense's 53 snaps while Ty Chandler played only five snaps. Starting running back Aaron Jones saw 28 snaps but fumbled on twice on eight touches and sat for a long stretch at the end of the first half. Akers could take on a larger workload if Jones can't solve his ball security issues.
-
Aaron Jones has lost a fumble in each of his past two games, which is something to monitor when it comes to Akers. And could also be a potential lottery ticket if Jones were to miss any time due to injury. Akers is worth adding in all leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

Akers totaled three carries for 19 yards and one catch (on one target) for six yards during Sunday's 30-27 win at Chicago. Akers has been a part of the Vikings offense in four consecutive contests, but his touch count Sunday was the fewest during that stretch after earning 14 in Week 10 at Jacksonville and 12 last Sunday in Tennessee. The elevated usage for Akers in the previous two games may have been spurred by the rib injury that Aaron Jones suffered in the first of those outings, but the latter racked up 25 touches for 129 yards from scrimmage and a rushing TD in Week 12, indicating he's more or less back to his status as Minnesota's unquestioned top RB. As a result, Akers could be relegated to a distant No. 2 option behind Jones moving forward.

Akers continues to operate as the No. 2 running back for the Vikings behind Aaron Jones, and Akers is worth adding in all leagues for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB. In the past two games against Jacksonville and Tennessee, Akers has at least 10 carries and 12 total touches in each outing, and he caught a touchdown in Week 11 against the Titans. If Jones were to miss any time then Akers could be a starting Fantasy option in all leagues.
