  • Brown (personal) practiced fully Wednesday. Brown was unavailable for Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Chargers as he tended to a personal matter. The wideout's full participation in Wednesday's practice has him trending toward returning to the lineup this weekend against the Titans. If that's the case, Brown would bolster a Kansas City WR corps that could be without Rashee Rice and/or Tyquan Thornton (who are both in the NFL's concussion protocol) in QB Gardner Minshew's first start of the season.

  • Brown (personal) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Brown, who is tending to a personal matter, didn't practice Wednesday, was limited Thursday and then was listed as a non-participant Friday before being deemed out for Week 15. The wideout's next opportunity to return to the lineup will occur Sunday, Dec. 21 against the Titans. In Brown's absence this weekend, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy figure to lead the Chiefs' Week 15 WR corps, with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton candidates to see added snaps versus Los Angeles.

  • Coach Andy Reid said Friday that he doesn't expect Brown (personal) to suit up Sunday against the Chargers, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports. Brown has been tending to a personal matter this week that didn't allow him to practice Wednesday before he returned in a limited practice one day later. Assuming Brown is unavailable for Week 15 action, the Chiefs will lean on Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton at wide receiver Sunday.

  • Brown gathered in one of two targets for 35 yards during Sunday's 20-10 defeat to the Texans. His 35-yard grab kicked off Kansas City's lone touchdown drive of the day in what was a lackluster showing from the offense overall. Brown and company will need to be at their best in the coming weeks to secure a playoff spot, but the veteran wideout is still just an ancillary option in the passing attack, finishing with only a 34 percent offensive snap share in Week 14.

  • Brown caught both of his targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in a 31-28 loss at Dallas on Thursday. Brown has four or fewer targets in seven straight games, after getting five or more in each of Kansas City's first five contests. He's been efficient with his limited chances, but his snap shares have landed between 33 and 44 percent each week since Rashee Rice returned from suspension. Brown figures to continue in his part-time role Week 14 against Houston.
