The 49ers activated Davis (knee) from injured reserve Saturday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. The 49ers designated Davis to return from IR on Wednesday. He was a full participant in all three practices this week, but he is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. If he does play, Davis will provide rotational depth at defensive tackle behind starters Jordan Elliott and Maliek Collins.

The 49ers opened Davis' (knee) 21-day practice window Wednesday. Davis underwent knee surgery in mid-August and has spent the first four weeks of the 2024 season on San Francisco's injured reserve list. Now that his practice window is open, the 49ers have 21 days to activate Davis to their active roster. Expect the UCF product to serve as a rotational interior defensive lineman once he's fully past his knee injury.

Davis (knee) was placed on injured reserve by the 49ers on Tuesday. Davis underwent knee surgery earlier in the month and he'll now officially open the regular season on IR. The defensive tackle is expected to miss roughly half the year, meaning he'd return at some point in mid to late November.

Davis is slated to have knee surgery and will miss half the 2024 campaign, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. Davis played in San Francisco's preseason opener Saturday against Tennessee and recorded two tackles, including a sack. However, he suffered a knee injury in the contest and is now expected to miss extended time for the third straight season. Davis didn't play in his rookie campaign due to a knee issue and missed the final three weeks of the regular season as well as all of the playoffs last year due to an ankle injury.
