  • Gray wasn't targeted during Sunday's 16-13 loss versus the Chargers. Gray's 38 percent snap share was one his lowest rates of the season, and he finished the game without a target for just the second time this season as a result. With starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) done for the season and Travis Kelce ahead of him on the depth chart, Gray's fantasy outlook isn't especially appealing heading into the final three weeks of the season. Even if Kelce opts to retire this offseason, the Chiefs won't necessarily view Gray as the heir apparent at the position in 2026.

  • Gray gathered in one of his three targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 20-10 defeat versus Houston. Gray's lone catch came on the last play of the contest, and he was unable to reel in either of the other two passes headed his direction. The fifth-year tight end hasn't notched more than three catches in a game this year and has yet to reach the end zone, so there isn't a ton to like from a fantasy standpoint. Even if Travis Kelce elects to hang up the cleats following the 2025 campaign, questions remain surrounding Gray's viability as a starting tight end.

  • Gray (concussion/shoulder) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Texans. Gray entered the league's concussion protocol following the Chiefs' Week 12 loss to the Colts, which prevented him from playing in Kansas City's Thanksgiving Day loss to Dallas. The fifth-year tight end has also been working through a shoulder injury, but he's been cleared to play against Houston after logging a full practice week. Gray will return to his TE2 role behind Travis Kelce, which means less offensive snaps will be available for Robert Tonyan and Jared Wiley.

  • Gray (concussion) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice. Gray missed last week's loss to the Cowboys, but he's progressing well and appears on track to clear the league's concussion protocol before Sunday's game versus the Texans. Gray typically plays more than half the offensive snaps in a game. He has produced 16 receptions for 132 yards through 11 games.
