Gross-Matos (knee) practiced in full Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's Week 2 matchup with the Vikings. Gross-Matos didn't play against the Jets in Week 1 due to a knee injury that took place during San Francisco's preseason finale. He began this week as a non-participant in practice before advancing to a limited session Thursday and logging all activity Friday. As such, Gross-Matos appears set to make his 2024 regular-season debut Sunday.

Gross-Matos (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Gross-Matos missed San Francisco's Week 1 win over the Jets, and he opened this week as a DNP on Wednesday. He was at least able to practice in some capacity Thursday, and his participation in Friday's session will provide a better sense on whether he will play in Week 2 against the Vikings.

Gross-Matos (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Gross-Matos continues to work through a knee injury sustained Aug. 23 in the 49ers' preseason finale. He has yet to participate in practice since the injury and he was sidelined for the 49ers' Week 1 victory over the Jets on Monday. Gross-Matos will have two more chances to practice Thursday and Friday ahead of Week 2 against Minnesota.

Gross-Matos (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Jets, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Gross-Matos logged back-to-back DNPs to start the week, and his next chance at suiting up will be Week 2 against the Vikings on Sept. 15. With Gross-Matos sidelined, Robert Beal will be called upon to provide additional depth at defensive end Monday behind starters Nick Bosa and Leonard Floyd.

Gross-Matos is considered week-to-week after injuring his knee in Friday's preseason game against Las Vegas, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Gross-Matos did not return to Friday's game after injuring his knee in the first quarter. Head coach Kyle Shanahan relayed Sunday that the injury isn't severe enough for Gross-Matos to start the regular season on injured reserve, per David Lombardi of The Athletic. However, given the week-to-week designation, Gross-Matos' status for Week 1 against the Jets is up in the air.
