Collins was held out of Wednesday's practice with hip and foot injuries, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports. There was no hint of any problem during Sunday's 19-13 win over Chicago, in which Collins played 84 percent of snaps while leading the Texans in routes (36), targets (10) and receiving yards (135). He leads the league with 252 receiving yards through two weeks -- nobody else has more than 200 -- and will have two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's game at Minnesota.

Collins caught eight of 10 targets for 135 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Bears. Collins once again easily led the team in receiving yards, finishing with 98 more yards than second-place Stefon Diggs after topping second-place Tank Dell by 77 receiving yards in Week 1. Collins' hefty yardage total included a 28-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. After racking up 1,297 receiving yards in a breakout 2023 regular season, Collins has been the favorite target for quarterback C.J. Stroud early in 2024, with 252 receiving yards heading into Week 3 against the Vikings.

Collins was a limited participant at practice Thursday due to an illness. Collins practiced without any restrictions Wednesday, but he was added to the Texans' Week 2 injury report one day later. As a result, the wideout's status is now worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears. Added context regarding Collins' availability will arrive when the Texans post their final injury report of the week Friday.

Collins caught six of eight targets for 117 yards in Sunday's 29-27 win over the Colts. The fourth-year wideout immediately re-established his chemistry with C.J. Stroud, topping 100 yards to open 2024 after doing so five times last season en route to a 1,297-yard breakout. While Collins led the Texans in receiving yards and targets, newcomer Stefon Diggs caught two red-zone TDs from Stroud and tied Collins for the team lead with six catches, giving secondaries another serious threat to worry about. Collins will look to keep rolling in a Week 2 matchup against the Bears.

Collins is among a number of Texans wideouts not dressed for Saturday's preseason contest versus the Rams, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Also expected to be held out of the contest are Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell and Robert Woods. Those four are at the head of the wide receiver depth chart for the Texans, so the team appears to be have made the decision to keep its top players out of the exhibition finale. John Metchie III, Ben Skowronek, Xavier Hutchinson and Steven Sims, among others, will get a chance to shine as Houston's pass catchers Saturday.
