• Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Serves as No. 3 receiver in Week 11

  Flournoy played 54 of the Cowboys' 83 snaps on offense and finished with two catches for 19 yards on three targets in Monday's 34-10 loss to the Texans. With Dallas making Jalen Brooks a healthy inactive for Week 11, Flournoy stepped in as the Cowboys' new No. 3 receiver and made his first NFL start alongside wideouts CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert. Even with quarterback Cooper Rush dropping back 60 times on the night while the Cowboys trailed by double digits for most of the contest, Flournoy was unable to carve out much volume in the passing game. The rookie sixth-round pick will be a candidate to see his snaps reduced once Brandin Cooks (knee) is deemed ready to return from injured reserve.

  Flournoy caught one of two targets for 13 yards in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. The 2024 sixth-round pick hauled in his second career reception late in the fourth quarter with Cooper Rush under center for the Cowboys in place of Dak Prescott (hamstring). CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) also came out of Sunday's loss at less than 100 percent, and if the team's top wideout is sidelined for a Week 10 clash with the Eagles, Flournoy could be in line for career-high volume.

  Flournoy (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Browns, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. Flournoy, who is listed as No. 6 on the Cowboys' wide receiver depth chart will be the odd man out from their receiving corps Week 1. The 24-year-old was selected in the sixth round by Dallas in the 2024 Draft and he'll now look to Week 2 against the Saints for his next opportunity to suit up.

  Flournoy caught all three of his targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason loss to the Chargers. The 2024 sixth-round pick hauled in a TD in both of the last two preseason games, which may have been enough to lock him into a spot on the 53-man roster. Flournoy isn't likely to see much volume in the regular season, but with CeeDee Lamb still holding out and Brandin Cooks (knee) banged up, Dallas' depth at wideout could be tested early in the year.

  Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Sunday that Flournoy is day-to-day with a knee injury, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports. McCarthy added that Flournoy's issue isn't "classified as anything serious," according to Nicole Hutchison of the Cowboys' official site. The 6-foot-1 wide receiver out of Southeast Missouri State was selected in the sixth round after a dazzling performance as the 2024 NFL Combine, and he'll likely compete for one of the final spots in Dallas' receiver room this training camp. Top wideout CeeDee Lamb also is holding out of training camp while awaiting a contract extension, so Flournoy's absence should open up some valuable opportunities for other fringe roster players like Racey McMath and Jalen Moreno-Cropper.
